Who has used Plumbworld - Feedback please

We are going to put in a new bathroom and plumbworld prices are very good but am very worried about using an online store, worried that maybe once I sign for the stuff it may be faulty or maybe Ive left something out of the order and by that stage the plumber is already fitting the stuff, so dont know if I should use them or just a local plumbers merchant but they will be a few hundred dearer :-(
Can anyone give me any feedback on this company please

I've used Plumbworld and never would again. Excellent prices but poor customer service if something goes wrong.
Took me many weeks to get a refund for a shower screen that arrived damaged. I had to plague them regularly, the lack of continuity in dealing with my complaint/refund was awful, I had to retell the story every time I contacted them.
I've read similar reviews about them elsewhere.
It's the risk you take for a good price.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Used them before for all types of showers, baths etc, and never had a problem. Check all the items before you sign.0

This is my worry, especially if u have a plumbing who has to down tools because a part is missing or broken0 -
I used them for a bath panel. It was well packaged and in good condition therefore didn't have to use their customer service. Sorry that I can't give any more info. Just that I was happy with the service received. I also receive their regular emails and the prices do seem good... (We are renovating as an ongoing project and would be quite happy to reorder from them)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

I used them last year and found the prices to be very good, but as stated customer service was appalling. I had a leaking bath and it took over 2 months and constant emails to them before I finally got someone out to inspect it. During this time I also got an email that was intended for another customer. She had a faulty shower head (under warranty) and was told to contact the manufacturer rather than Plumbworld as they have no way of being able to repair anything (and obviously didn't seem to be interested in refunding the customer)
As has also been stated make sure you check EVERYTHING before you sign the delivery slip, even if the delivery man is unhappy about it. If you sign and there's a problem later (which was my problem) Plumbworld don't want to know.0 -

I felt this too. I actually had a replacement shower screen sent out to me which also arrived damaged. The courier picked up the original one at time of delivering the second but Plumbworld denied it had been picked up at all so not only did they not want to refund for the second also damaged screen, they wanted to charge me for the first one too. It got to the stage where the courier said he was willing to stand up in court for me to swear he had picked it up, he was sick of the hassle too.
As I said, if the item arrives in good condition then you'll probably have got it at at good price. You're stuffed if there's anything wrong with it though.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I took plumbworlds prices to my local plumbers merchent and they matched them.0

I used them to purchase a basin mixer and bath taps as the prices were so good - unfortunately although the taps and mixer had the same model name on the box, the designs for both were different and they didn't match. I was happy to wait for a while why they found out what had happened (the manufacturer had changed the design without informing them) and then tried to find the "correct" old design in their warehouse - but I had to keep chasing them, they seldom contacted me, and in the end I had to return the taps and get a refund. I think it took about 6 or 8 weeks from receiving the right-but-wrong taps, to getting the refund. Despite that I would use them again, but not if I was in a hurry for something.0

I went to my local one looking for a single channel C/H programmer. They had 3 in stock, opened all 3 up for me to look at, said for what I wanted the cheapest would be quite adequate (had already decided that myself !). Very helpful and knowledgeable.0
