is going through the tills at 24p in some branches - just the shampoo though, not the conditioner.

Aaargh, the store I was in today only had the 300ml of this. None in the other store I visited (R*therglen ith), must be an end of line product.

Sent an email to Mr Clarke asking for the situation "are we entitled to a refund if we have already had all our money back on DTD?" The reply...

I was sorry to learn that, not only were you overcharged for a Barbie car in our $$$$$$$$$ store, but that you were unable to obtain a refund when you later returned it. I can appreciate the confusion and disappointment caused.

In these circumstances, you would still be entitled to a refund of the correct price of the item, which is £12.50. This is because you had already been refunded this amount, which was the discrepancy between the two prices. The other £12.50 is refunded to you as part of our double the difference policy, as a gesture of goodwill.

I have discussed your complaint with Suzanne $$$$$, our Store Manager, who asked me to pass on her apologies to you for the upset caused. She will arrange for retraining to be carried out by her Customer Service Manager, &&&&&&& , and will talk to ######## personally. Suzanne has advised that, if you ask for her or &&&&&& on your next visit, she will ensure you receive your refund, and she can then apologise to you in person.

Thank you for this. I asked the same question on another thread but nobody replied. Its nice to have some clarification. :)
  • Just out of curosity how long does it take for mr Clarke or one of his assistants to reply to you? I sent an email on Saturday and received a very short email saying they were looking into the situation. Will I get a follow up email or is that it?

    Thanks

Ok. So I figure most of you are safely tucked up in bed now and this might be a good time to finally face the bullet! :embarasse

It would appear that my late night post caused a bit of an argument earlier today and offended some of you.

I didn't read any of the following deleted posts (which may be for the better), as I was at a doctors appt this morning. It was only when I returned that I found out what had happened.

I have been off work for the past few weeks and rattling round the house becoming a bit of a hermit. It was only after finding the Mr T threads and all of you lovely people that I finally felt able to pick myself up a bit and go out, so I was absolutely devastated when I realised my post had been deleted and that I may have upset some of you, believe me it was not my intention at all

You have all been so helpful in the responses you have given to my post so far. As a newbie it is actually quite scary posting on these boards as you all know each other so well. A bit like trying to join the popular people at school when you know you quite obviousley don't fit in.

I've been quite worried about posting this all day and after moping for a while, decided to pay a trip to Mr T's (alright, I confess, 2 Mr T's) to try and cheer myself up.
I have now plucked up the courage to catch up on the posts since this morning and after reading those from ExTesco and others which now clarify Tescos position, (thank you all so much for doing this) I felt a bit better about it and hope that you will all give me another chance. I promise not to cause any more trouble.

And as an additional peace offering, I have some additional pet items for the offering, along with my first 1p find. Only some of these items were already on the shelf and a few marked with the actual price.

I'll admit, my local had a delivery of pet items sitting in a cage waiting to be put out, and after ignoring the same cage at the earlier store I visited and not having enough patience to wait until morning, I decided temptation was too much and snuck some bits off the cage for a price check (this was how I found my 1p item).:naughty:

The sa on the pet aisle said that it was all new stock, so I don't know if some of the prices will change, but hopefully as the 2 stores I visited had their deliveries of the new items this evening, yours will too and you can get a head start.

I have listed the barcodes, where I have them but I'm afraid I haven't yet learnt how to post pictures and links, sorry.
    HTH.

    On Shelves:
Tesco cat scratching post £1.74 (sorry no barcode as this is still in the car)
Melamine cat bowl (pink, blue, grey and white) - bc 5 051399 402420 - 75p
Melamine dog bowl - not sure of exact price but a little bit more than the cat bowl.
    Brown cat/pet bed - £2.49
Large dog bed in Tan and Brown (on website) - bc 5 052525 051772 - £4.00
Pet blankets (brown with pawprints) 99p
Cat scratch post (not tescos, grey fluffy base and ball hanging off the top) £3.75
Large (very large) stainless steel bowls - sorry I can't remember the exact price.
Cat radiator bed (on website) - £2.49
    Cat balls - 3pk - bc 5 025659 710655 - SEL £3.50, scans 87p
    Cat carrier - £2.49
Various dog and cat collars and leads at various prices.
Cat scratching post with house (sorry didn't actually see what this looked like, just SEL and box on top shelf waiting to be unpacked) - £8.75
Staywell magnetic catflap (on website) - SEL £23.99, scans £2.87 (there was 2 of these left in W7st D*%rington, I took one and pushed the other to the back of the shelf, hopefully it's still there)

    Pinched from delivery cage:
Petstages puppy cuddle pal dog toy (a smaller version of a wheatie, to keep your dog, or cat, warm)- bc 8 71864 00101 0 - 31p
    Petstages Rag rope ball dog toy - bc 8 71864 00149 2 - 56p
    Petstages Orka bone dog toy - bc 8 71864 00230 7 - 50p
    Petstages Toss and shake dog toy - bc 8 71864 00146 1 - 37p
Dog treat ball with sound - £1.50
Dog rubber bones (Dark blue, light blue, pink) - £1.20
Cat litter tray with hood (cream and green) - £3.75

There were also a rubber chicken dog toy and what was described as a cuddly safari toy (sorry couldn't get to these boxes) which I'm guessing will also scan quite cheap.

And lastly my first 1p find........

    Talking animal dog toy - bc 5 052003 646056 - 1p
This looks just like a little cuddly toy and makes the appropriate animal noise when you squeeze it (I found a pig and a black cow). Not quite the 1p iron or oven finds but it made me smile to listen to them on my way home.

As an added extra, if anyone lives near enough to the W8st Dur*7ngton store and fancies some hair straighteners. I found a set of Phillips care ceramic straighteners there this eve at about 11.30pm (they close at midnight). It is the same set as I found myself a wk ago for £3, but I scanned to make sure and they are def same price. Sorry forgot to double check model no and barcode but the pair I have are model no HP8341/07, bc 8 710
103 523277 and this pair looked identical.

They are at the front by the tills sitting with some hair dryers on the top shelf above the display of hair stuff which is on the end of aisle. They had no SEL and also none in the usual place, so hopefully the sa's won't move them and no-one else will spot them.

Oh no, I have just realised that my post is now huge and will prob fill half a page!! Sorry guys this seems to be becoming a bit of a bad habit. I promise i'll keep it brief in future.

Well I am off to bed now and if I'm brave enough I'll pop back tomorrow.:undecided

    Thanks

anyone any the wiser on this one ?

Bounties were on offer for £1 but I don't think anyone's mentioned a glitch again

It will depend on the nature of the enquiry but i sent my email and got the "we have received your message" email the next day. The following day I had the answer email.

Some queries may take longer, especially if they want to speak to a particular member of staff who may not be in the store for a few days.
I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.
