Unless it is a very small value you will not get a refund only an exchange.

Or I believe they well accept a credit/debit card statement if you paid for the item that way.

Just got back from Tesco...Chicken roll down to a £1 from £1.15...but now 26 slices instead of 30.
Long life milk skimmed still 49pence. Basic vinegar still 13p.
