I think it's because their markings are quite often quite strange compared to Tabbies or Torties,It took me a while to get used to Daisy's face for some reason,it looked 'odd' & when I got her,I was really looking for another Tabby like Orbit.
But when I found out Daisy had spent 2 years in a cage as she's a scrapper when among other cats,I took her.

Surprisingly it's easy to say no to her, it's the baby I can't say no to :rotfl:
Black dogs in rescues are hard to rehome too. I don't understand, I have a black german shepherd and I'm always getting comments on how beautiful she is. Why does colour matter

And Nemo who passed away

Spike, I love Daisy's smudgy face! Did you call her Daisy after the black and white pantomime cow?Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0

Nope, she was called Daisy at the cattery & I didn't want to change her name.

I have read that Maine Coons play with water and when I got mine Jack did exactly that. It was so cute but unfortunately he stopped when he got older. I think it was some thing to do with the original cats living in cold climates in US or Norway and they test to see if the is ice on the water. Not sure I believe that but there are plenty of Maine Coons clips on Ytube. Lovely cat by the way could be cross Maine Coone.
I have looked up Maine Coones and can't see a resembalence, except perhaps the pattern on some of them. But could be a few generations back, I suppose!I_luv_cats wrote: »Your cat is absolutely gorgeous (not to say the others on here aren't)murphydog999 wrote: »Another quote for button, what a cutie.
Aw, thank you very much! We think he's quite adorable too.
