Three signal gone!

I've looked back and see many people have not had success cancelling but I'm stuck. We have 2 contracts with Three, mine is over a year old. Last week they switched off our 2g signal, which was all we ever had here so now we have nothing. Nothing at home, nothing when out in the village day to day visiting friends etc, and nothing in the next town where I do my shopping. In fact it took a few miles on Saturday in the car for the signal to kick in. They are both now useless unless we use then for wi-fi in the house, hardly a phone then. :(
Too many children, too little time!!!

I think many people did have success cancelling after complaining to the executive office (IIRC).

    Hi Tara,
Has the 2g signal been turned off completely or is it a temp measure do you know ?

She has said they 'may' be putting up another mast but she has no idea when.

    Hi Tara,
Ok the basics are that they are no longer providing the service that you have previously enjoyed at your primary location which you based your choice of provider on.

You need to write to them and point this out and request that they cancel the cotracts to enable you to change suppliers unless they rectify the situation forthwith.

Should they refuse you can use MCOL to get back the remainder of your contract values

I'm assuming you are using a 3G handset, and not one with 3G access turned off? Three are pretty good at identifying where the service issues are for thise who were getting a fall-back service on 2G and are now stranded. It won't need a shout to the Executive Office, as a letter to their Glasgow admin centre will give the necessary impetus for them to arrange cancellation if a replacement site is not imminent.
