Brilliant Christmas on £600?

I've managed gifts for husband, small daughter, two parents, brother, niece, two nephews, four friends and two friends' babies for £182.50 - this includes my husband's gifts to the family members. Ebay, Grabbits, Body Shop code stacking, Book Bargains Direct, Halfcost.co.uk and Dealtastic have been my friends.
The biggest bargain I think has been a video camera. £79.99 reduced on Dealtastic to £16.99, plus topcashback and a 15% off discount code. Oooh, or my toddler is getting a brand new Ikea Duktig kitchen and a ridiculous array of accessories. I bought it with a voucher I got from Ikea for spending money on stuff I needed, and her grandparents will be buying loads of play food to go with it.
Shop early, keep a list, don't be tempted to buy more just for the sake of it, cross names off as soon as you have their gift and remember that a £50 gift is a £50 gift even if you only paid £5 for it.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Thanks everyone!
Yeah, i reckon i can do it on £600 now, no probs!! Just goes to show how much things have changed from a few years ago when i would pay about £1200 on xmas!!0 -
Wow! £600!! I wish I had anywhere near that to spend on Christmas.
I've got a 2yr old & a 4 year old. To cut down the price of Christmas we no longer buy for adults, just children.
We will probably spend about £50 on each of our children, £10-£15 on our 2 nieces and about £100 for food.
Money is really tight for us and it's going to be a struggle to find that money to spare as it is.
I begrudge spending a huge amount of money just for one day. Christmas has become about how much you spend and flashing the expensive presents. I'm not particularly religious, but Christmas is about far more important things.
You can have a great christmas on whatever budget you choose and can afford.0 -
