SavvyBunny- sorry, silly Q, but how do you get vouchers?
Not a silly question at all hun. I get vouchers from doing all sorts really, from doing surveys, swapping unwanted items on facebook for vouchers, reviews, question panels etc.
Yo can have a look at thrifty gifty money making for Christmas thread in here, the first few posts in the thread show you how you can make some extra cash. Or you have the Up your income board where people have lots of ideas to raise extra cash too.Comping wishlist for 2017

very easily yes!!!
ebay = your best friend!!! if you find items near you, you can collect and save on postage, you can get brand new items very cheaply. you need to keep an eye out for deals of buy 1 get 1 free etc, cheak out the grab it now board on here - i've had some good bargains on there (£5.99 thomas tank trains for son free when you bought the newspaper for 40p, brand new and sealed).
if you buy snacks like pringles/doritos/mini cheddars look in the £1 shop - over the past few weeks the 1 near me has had all 3, plus the supermarkets have them on buy 1 get 1 free or 2 for £2 at the mmoment. buy them and put them up. do the same if you drink beer/wine.
keep an eye out for ds's on ebay etc. i got my son a brand new and sealed 1 for his birthday in august for £50. and so he had some games i got him 6 used ones for total of £15! he was well pleased with them. morrisons do have some games between £5-10.
go on the freebies board and get freebies and make mini hamper for your mum/sister n niece, you can pick up some perfume samples cheaply on ebay and add to hampers (i do this for my sister).
for the past 4 years i have started buying my xmas gifts in january sales and keeping them safe during year, this all started when my husband was made redunant at easter 07. in order that our sons got gifts for xmas as we didnt no when hubby would get aother job we added 1 toy a week onto the food shopping, we didnt really notice the extra £5 or £10 - yes the boys didnt get a big present each but they had pacs of lego and games etc.
since then we have just continued doing it, buying bits as and when we see them and such. this means we dont have to find loads of money come decmeber and as i put above, we buy the snacks and beer when they on offer from september time and put up (they usually have expiry date of the following year). we then only have to buy extra fruit/veg/salad/bread etc a few days b4 xmas.
good luck and i hope you can do it. xdue to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

I have 11 yr old twin boys and a 14 yr old girl, mine are getting more than usual this year as i got each of them a netbook (reduced, topcashback, clubcard points and credit card points
), anyway I like to give them lots of stocking fillers as well , but this year need to keep it super cheap to balance out the cost.
Some ideas and things I have got so far are:
A few cheap paper backs from the very cheap bookstore on the high st.sorry forgot the name.
christmas mugs from the 99p store
glass jars with layers of sweets, 3 bags for 99p in the supermarket
i'm attempting to make them a sock monkey each, I made one for my mum and the boys both loved it, even better if you can do it in football team colours
stocking fillers from ebay, ds1 likes subbuteo, which I could only find on ebay, a few pounds and he has played with it for days
christmassy dvd's usually only £2/£3 if they have been out for a couple of years
football, simple but useful
selection box, cheap and popular!
Hope it helps a bit.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
yes if your savvy
Im doing 2 kids, 1 husband, 4 parents, 1 sister, 1 brother in law, 2 nieces and a nephew on £100 this year (a bet against DH) I have won all of DS and DD's christmas presents, FIL's present, half of DH, half of my mothers and half of my nephews. I use ebay, have been saving money up through cashback sites, earning amazon vouchers through woohoo bingo and survey sites. Oh and of course good old tesco clubcard points
Also I haunt the grabbit boards and the freebie boards for anything that can be used. I am also making a few bits like name slip knot bracelets for neice and DDSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Hiya - wish i had a budget that size
Mine is about £350 to include presents for about 12 friends/family pressies and food.
I am also on the lookout for a DSi XL...but for my little boys birthday at end of November. They seem so pricey still!
I do what others do and get things throughout the year tho i havent been as good as usual this year for some reason... I have about half of the presents so far and have only spent about £70. (This includes stocking fillers - i have now finished stocking buying yay!)
Keep an eye on HotukDeals as i am finding alot around at the moment! I am also loving the Argos clearance where u can check just local stock - found a couple of great presents there which had savings of at least 70%! :TBaldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
I think you will be able to have a fab Christmas:xmassign: on £600.
As other posts suggest keep an eye on the grabbits they have some great buys ( even if you didnt know you wanted them:p)
And the freebies are great aswell.
Also never buy anything online without checking for codes
I think everybody has covered all this but just keep your eyes glued
I bought Mr Magoo Christmas Carol today for £1.57 from a grabbit and the majority of the bits and pieces I have been putting away all year have been from my friend:rotfl:the grabbit board

I think it gets more expensive as they get older doesnt it?
I used to be able to spend £150 on my kids when they were younger and it used to buy loads, but when you start buying DS's and things like that it takes up most of the budget before you even start!
Just found DSi XL on Gamestation for £119 which is the cheapest i have seen, free delivery and 4% cashback which is good!
Never done Christmas on a self imposed budget before so it's all new!!
Might be worth asking in store too. If you're spending almost £250 they might do you a deal and throw in some games or some accessories too if you ask the right people.Princess Sparklepants0 -
I got my son...for his birthday..he will be 5 on October 8th..A DSi from Game..£69.99..includes a £19.99 game..I got Lego Indiana Jones..should have been £29.99 but reduced to £19.99. Also 3 cats and 3 fishies
