Mobile Phone Contract Advice
I've got about 5 months till the end of my current mobile phone contract with O2, (O2 250 for £35per month with an N80 hand-set), so when I do get around to upgrading, what is the best time of the month to get the best deal to stay with my current provider, and what are the best ways of getting this???:p
Or is it better just Getting my PAC code and changing Networks??? As I did last time!!!
Many thanks,
Robin:D

As employee of O2, I can confirm the best time to upgrade is now (being part of Telefonica, a Spanish company, our company year starts Jan 1 not April 1). So the network chucks all the best deals out then, and starts cutting back around xmas (trust me from experience, its true!)
I know this might not help you as you cannot upgrade for 5 months yet. But your best deal is to ask to cancel your contract. Make something up like that you have seen a 3 deal you are interested in (some research will be required here). Meanwhile they will transfer you to O2 retentions, give you a great deal and there you go.
Note: I know I am bias but stay with O2 it is a great company - Number 1 network provider for last year (source: MOBILE magazine). Also no.1 for customer satisfaction for 06 (JD power).
Hope that helps!Don't worry:p  :rotfl: Be happy0 -

I guess it's each to their own. I have just left O2 at the end of a one year contract and I have to say that after using Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Three, O2 is the only one I would not use again.
O2 should be looking to Virgin for lessons in how to provide good customer service.0
