Hi,
I need to transfer my phone number to a PAYG sim, and then get the PAC number from the PAYG provider to transfer it back to contract again (the only way t-mobile say I can keep my number when getting a new contract with them as it's not a upgrade).
Which PAYG sim is the best to do this- is there any which are free and also where I won't have to top it up before requesting the PAC?
Thanks

Try giffgaff https://www.giffgaff.com. They use the O2 network so you may have to get your phone unlocked but you can order a sim online (in fact everything is online) and it may come with credit already on there to get you started.
Once you get the sim, you get your pac off t mobile, enter the details online and it should switch within 24 hours (Mon to Fri). To get pac when returning to t mobile just request it online and you will receive a text message with the code.
They don't do contracts so you won't get locked in0 -
Thanks
I've looked on the giffgaff website and it says you will have to top up or buy a goody bag (minimum £10) when you activate the sim.
It's worth paying £10 to keep my number, but if anyone knows a PAYG sim that is cheaper or free I'd be very happy!

You can buy a £5 goodybag instead of topping up with giffgaff when I last did that.
