    Nothing wrong with that, IMHO.

    I know you feel that you should stop paying your monthly instalments, but sorry to say that IMHO you must keep paying.

    Do you have any legal cover?
    if so, maybe get them to try and recover your remaining instalments from the other insurer.
    No idea whether that will work though.

    Whilst it seems annoying, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with what the ins co are doing as far as I can see.
