What is it you want, the FOS looks after customers who have issues with insurers.

FOS is reviewing my case , but I don't think they will manage to help me.I tried citizen advice too.
My car was parked ( on street parking), I was at home , heard the crash.someone hit my car. The poor women who hit my car made a claim , saying to her insurer it was all her fault. My car was rubbish , so my insurer from hell decided they should scrap it, they gave me a replacement car for a week.
my car was scraped. i didn't want another car. accident was not my fault. we should say goodbye to each other , but they didn't let me do that. they said: buy anoter car and insured it with us or pay for the car you do not have:T.how is that possible? they said : this could be your fault, we don't know yet , we have no informations from the other insurer, so pay us till your insurance is over (10 months!;it was a new car) and maybe we will pay your money back( if it's reaaaaaally not your fault).
i canceled direct debit , called FOS(it was 5 months ago!), ask the a lady from citizen advice for help. she called my insurer form hell and they said:" nooooo, she doesn't owe us any money, it's a mistake" and what did they do next? they sent two debt recovery firms to gave me a lesson.and now they want to collect money direct from my account

It sounds like you have opted to pay your insurance premium in monthly instalments.

Tell the insurance you want to cancell the policy and you may get something back, but usually when an insured car is written off the policy is terminated.

You need to keep paying the instalments.

No, your money has been spent on insuring your car.

You have essentially bought a year's worth of insurance but decided to pay for it on a credit agreement. That's one point.

If your car gets written off, then the policy terminates.

    That's the way it works.

Did you not read the documentation the insurance company supplied to you?
  • yes i read that.
"If your car gets written off, then the policy terminates." the car doesn't exist and isn't written off . why? it should be. automatically.

Oh. my understanding so far is that your car was involved in an accident.
    The other driver accepted responsibility.
Your insurance company decided not to repair your car and instead scapped it.

If that is not so, then please explain what has happened to the car.

What has the other driver's insurance company got to say about it?

Has either insurance company paid you any money for the value of your car?
  • car is scraped.
my insurer paid my for my scrapped car.
the other insurer must confirm that it was their client's fault.( that what i've been told)
i should pay my monthly instalment's and wait for my policy to end(10 months)
