Jack, does Mum know if the birthday biscuit/cake is OK for people eating? Cos I might have to make it for me and share with Milly (patterdale) and Sasha and Tasha (the rats)

It would be ok for people eating (my teenager human said it smelled lovely!) but Mum says she would prefer a slice of human cake instead. hehe.

Mum says to have a look at this PDF she found, there are lots of dog treat recipes in there and some sound really really yummy! Im sure Sasha and Tasha will find something they like in there. Oh, and BTW, we don't like sharing you know :p

Hello Jack. Your cake looks great. It is my birthday around now but as my Mum doesnt know exactly when I have a gotcha day in December instead when I came to live here. My name is Holly and I am a Jack Russell. I live with my Mum and Dad, my bestest friend Lady who is also a jack Rusell, a Border Collie called Kam and we have just had a new dog who is a staffie called Pippin. I dont like her much as she is very bouncy and tries to steal my toys, Mum says it is because she has been in lots of different homes and kennels and has not learned to be well mannered. She is only here until she has a new home I hope thats soon.

I am ill too and have some called neural myotonia which no one has ever heard of including my vet. It was diagnosed by another vet called the neurologist. It makes me very tired and a bit grumpy so I only have a short walk in the morning and stay in when mum and dad take my friends out in the afternoon and evening. I can eat anything though and this is my favourite past time. Hee Hee.

I hope you add to your diary soon as we are enjoying reading it.

Hello Holly! I have cousins who are Jack Russels and they are great! I'm sorry you are ill too, its not nice is it when nobody has heard of whats wrong with you? I'm glad you can eat anything though! I've been in trouble this evening for scoffing what was left of Bob's dinner and Mum says its got lots of copper in it.....I'm in the doghouse. Whoops.

I hope Pippin gets a forever home soon, she will learn some manners I hope and be very happy in her forever home. I live with my older friend Bob the Westie but I'm very much the boss, it's nice to have a friend though isn't it? Especially one who you can [STRIKE]steal[/STRIKE] share food with!

Milly says she doesn't mind sharing as we're both coeliacs so she is allowed my food :D
And she shares with Tasha and Sasha as they're nice rats and don't try biting her nose. And Mummy says they're nice

Hello all, been a hectic few weeks so I thought I'd update!

Firstly, I went on holiday! Mum took me to the seaside and I chased seagulls and ran in the waves, it was lovely and although I got tired a little bit quicker I had a brilliant time. One day it was really hot and Mum was worrying about how much Id drank, but I kept walking and wagging and she stopped in the Co Op to buy me a carrot which I ate on the seafront. Lots of people were laughing at me, I don't know why! You'd think they had never seen a dog eat a carrot before!

Anyway, I'm back home now and yesterday I went to see Kate my vet, I bounced in the room, tail wagging and she was so pleased to see me. I have no blood or bilrubin in my wee for the first time since June! My Jaundice has gone too and I'm not anaemic anymore. My fur is growing back as well, but its a bit strange at the moment, like puppy fur hehe
Kate was so very pleased with my progress she doesn't want to see me for a whole six months! She says I'm amazing and I defy all medical knowledge hehe

I'm still eating Mum's yummy cooked foods, she batch cooks 2 weeks worth at a time now and freezes it. It all goes down the same.
Anyway, signing off with a picture of me surveying MY beach!
    Jack

Ooo Jack, you are looking so handsome - well I thought you were pretty tasty looking with that rubber ring round your neck, so now, woo-hoo.

If you need any help, and I'm being very sincere here, with eating the cake, I am your gal.

I had to giggle at the thought of Jack eating a carrot! my staffie annie had a passion for cucumbers........so nice and refreshing on summer days! but it did make people look twice (I used rather large chunks of them as rewards ), so I think I know how your mum felt Jack!

Hello all! I've been a bit fed up this week. Dad has started his new job and I'm a bit out of sorts with the change. Also, Mum and Dad had a small disagreement in the herbalists 2 weeks ago over what dosage vitamin E I was on when they went to restock. Mum was right as usual, I was on 200mg but Dad bought 100mg and wouldn't listen.... Mum thinks this is probably adding to my bad mood and upped my dose again and I'm feeling a lot happier again.

    Anyway, time for a carrot!

Just popped in to say Merry Christmas and share some amazing news! I had a bit of a blip last week, not too sure what happened but on Friday morning I decided to resemble a bulldog! My face and neck swelled soooooo big I looked really really funny. Mum panicked and rushed me to the vet who thought it probably an allergic reaction to something. She stuck lots of needles in me and made my face go down a bit.

I have been back to see the vet this morning and she did some more blood tests, I have yet another nasty infection but, and this is my amazing news....

My ALT levels which were 2500 in September are now..... **drumroll** 250!!

Yes, thats still a bit high, but it means my liver is working hard and I'm doing well. Not bad for a dog who wasn't going to be here for Christmas is it?

So, Merry Christmas to you all and lots of love and licks! Here's to 2012 and lots of good friends.
