Piggy Backing Networks - Sim Locks?

Quick question.....

I know Tesco Mobile and GiffGaff both "piggy back" on the 02 network.

Therefore should a giffgaff sim work in a tesco phone, or will it still need unlocked?

It needs unlocking even to work on O2, let alone giffgaff.

Giffgaff worked fine when i put it in my iPhone which was locked to O2...you can get the internet settings from Giffgaff

i wouldn't think Giffgaff will work on Tesco...but could be wrong.

Giffgaff sim works in O2 phone, not vice versa (if there were phones locked to giffgaff).

Tesco sim works only in Tesco, O2 and unlocked phones.

The OP was asking if Giffgaff would work with Tesco
i said i wasn't sure but didn't think so
i was just saying GiffGaff works on O2

i should have put O2 won't work in Tesco or Giffgaff Phone will need unlocking.
