sent phone to 3 for repair, came back un repaired

hi there i sent my phone ( nokia 6280 )to 3 for repair last week came back on the 9th of jan stating that there was a fault and it had been sorted out and passed there quality checks, it has not it is exactly the same as before.

i spoke to a tech manager who said i could send it back for repair or have an upgrade said i dont want an upgrade yet ( my contact ends on feb 22 can cancel on jan 22),that would be the easy way out for them give me a new phone and have me for another year.

i want this phone to work right, i feel that they should replace the phone its not my fault the did not repair it, i have loads of stuff wrong with this phone over past year they are not that good, any help what i could do apart from canceling , would be great

I asked 3 to repair my phone whilst it was in contract. Due to their imcompetance it was collected after the contract ended. Then a few weeks later I got a letter saying they would waive the 79.99 charge to repair it. i thought ok, it was in contract when I told them so fine. Now a few days ago they sent me a letter saying they werent going to repair my phone and what should they do.......im furious, theyve had this phone for about six or seven weeks.

My 10-month old LG U880 broke, along the manufacturing join on the hinge that joins the two parts of the flip-phone together. The crack was a consequence of simply opening & closing the phone. I returned it to 3, who told me that the repair wasn't covered by the Manufacturer's warranty, and that I'd have to pay £30 to get it repaired. I told them to return it unrepaired.

When I checked the manufacturer's warranty, I had a real eye-opener - it really wasn't worth the paper that it was written on. If it had been a little more absorbant, I could have made better use of it in the smallest room in the house!

I spoke to the original retailers [The Mobile Outlet], who agreed to replace the phone as a goodwill gesture.
So, credit where credit is due - to The Mobile Outlet;
.......and disgust where it is due - to Three and the Three Repair Service. They were pants!!
