What Is The Best Pay As You Go?
In a bid to cut back on money uneccessaey money spending, my DW has decided to go Pay As You Go, cancelling her monthly contract. We were just wondering what the best PAYG deal is at the moment as there are so many. I reckon my DW will be putting about £10 a month credit on to her phone and using it mostly for txts.
Any help would be appreciated. :j

get a board guide or mod to move this over to the mobile phones board as you may get more responses
anyway o2 do 300 free texts when you top up a tenner a month0 -
Depends really. I've always used Virgin, but that's also because my GF uses virgin too, so text's between us are 3p each. Their customer service is also excellent.- = I also recognise the Robins and beep for them = -0

I always use Vodafone, not the cheapest by far but I always have a top notch reception and whats the point of having a phone if you cant get a reception.0

o2 online payg sim - usually can get the sims for free. Top up £10 a month and get 300 free texts + the £10 credit to use as you wish.0

Give Orange a miss.
Earlier today I tried to register Orange PAYG sim card that in enclosed booklet offered to give £1.00 credit on registration and priced landline calls at 15p per minute.
When registering Sim it I was told that the price of calls to landlines would be 25p per minute. The amount of credit added to sim upon registration was just 1p. Yes just one penny!0 -
depends on your circumsatnces but the absolute cheapest seem to be Fresh or a combination of the Tesco sims. You will be able to see Fresh's poor record of customer service in other threads on this boardVal0

I would swaer by Virgin, my virgin sim got so old - I think 10 years use - they had to replace it but kept my number. But for roaming on a recent trip to Portugal, popped a Tesco SIM (£6 on Ebay with £11 of credit on it) into the phone as they have by far the best current EU roaming deal. Total roaming costs = £6 compared to the last time I used Virgin abroad which was £50 for a week.0

I would recomend the t-mobile text appeal tariff. Text 3p to anynetwork anytime, and for a limited period, unlimited free evening and weekend texts. Sim Cards are also currently free.

I thought tesco pay as you go was very cheap if you dont use it much. But if you do spend £10 a month and top up each month i recommend a 3 wepay card which if you top up each month (£10 lowest you can top up) it gives you credit for texts and phone calls that YOU recieve.
Hope this helps. (you will need a 3 network phone but i just picked up a lovel v975 which are usually on 3 network off of ebay for £25 and its like a new phone and really good.)0
