I think it looks really lovely - only thing did you say you wanted an island - I am full of cold and rather bleary eyed but cant see one unless its the breakfast bar bit that protrudes into the other room - either way I really like the plan = mainly asking about island as that is what we want and are currently looking into how it would work for us
    Happy building x

She wasn't wanting an island per say, more of an offshoot protruding past the way, where I have put the bookshelf behind :)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

To be honest we wanted some sort of ‘open worktop’ between the 2 rooms and ideally would have liked it bigger.

BUT due to needing that wall to stay as it’s supporting that was as big as it could be :)

May I ask what software you used to produce the design?

I found B&Qs kitchen planner easier to use than Ikea's. (Although they appear pretty similar.)

Meepster did mine, but he's a professional kitchen designer so I imagine he has access to lots of fancy software :)

B&Q is probably the better one online (similar to ikea, but ikea more annoying some how) :)

Quite possibly, once I've done the other three I'm working on...

I think one of them may be mine - it was in another thread and you asked me to upload plans, then asked for better copies, which i've now done -

I used 20-20 Design, which is a professional design package. Costs around £1500 for a single user license, so not really accessible to the general public :(

I just replied in your thread, you're second on the list :)
