whens your wedding? Look in the January sales as I got absolutely stunning cadburys purple i know you want green but am sure there will be green available too satin maxi dresses from new look, they sound scruffy but everyone who has saw them loves them
they were £14 each !!!!0 -
My bridesmaids are wearing BHS dresses and I think they're great. I picked out the teal Evie ones which are taffeta (online only, not available in store) and I love them.
They let you order as many as you want and there's no time limit on getting returns back for refunds.
I took them to a reputable tailor at the weekend for alterations. He's known for his honesty with dresses and didn't stop saying how lovely and well made they are the whole time we were there.
I got mine all in sales and also got Cashback too :money:
Sizes are a bit random so just order one of each to try on and return what you don't want.
Hope you find something you like

Is anyone else planning on risking bridesmaids dresses in the sales? At the moment I am planning on getting all my bridesmaids together in January and go January sale shopping! I am not bothered really if they all have the same style, I wasn't even going to worry about colour that much but unfortunately due to a best man issue my partner is now having a best woman (she was one of my bridesmaids, but I have let my partner nab her for his best woman as it is his siter lol). The thing is I want to get her a dress which makes her seperate from the brisdesmaids but obviously part of the wedding party, so now I need the bridesmaids to be in the same colour so she can be obviously seperate as the best woman.
The thing is though I have bridesmaids who are pregnant now, bridesmaids who are trying to get pregnant and if I bought dresses now they'd probably not fit by the wedding! I hadn't considered guests turning up in the same thing mind you!
Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often!

My advice to everyone is to make sure the invites give some clue as to what colour the bridesmaids are in. Mine were in sage so I had sage ribbon on my invites. If I received an invite with say, purple or turquoise on it I would not wear those colours as a guest or at the least I wqould find out what the bridesmaids are wearing.
I recently ordered a bhs bridesmaid dress in the sale for an evening event but it didnt fit on the bust! It was lovely quality though. Debenhams are also good but I would try on in the store and then order off the website as some dresses I tried on in the store were in pretty poor condition. I dont think their racks are meant to hold evening dresses as many were damaged. I would wait for the sales (you can sign up for the BHS wedding mailing list) and 20% off days and also order through cashback sites to get best value of money.0 -

My daughter wore a BHS bridesmaid dress for my wedding, I thought it was fine, very pretty. I was looking in Monsoon and other places for ages but found that they all seemed to be rather fancy, not plain so I was pleased to find the BHS one.0
