Free Orange WAP & Internet access (PAYG)

Options
Whilst calling Orange Customer Services earlier today, the nice lady told me that ALL internet browsing and WAP is completely free on 'pay as you go' until the end of April 05!!

Suspecting a catch (hey, you never know) I checked out the T&Cs on https://www.orange.co.uk and sure enough - it's completely free - no catch.

Isn't it amazing that something like this hasn't been more widely communicated. I'd have thought this was their biggest free promotion this year and yet the TV is full of old adverts about free cinema tickets and cardboard cowboys jumping over buses.

I'll stop grumbling now though - this is fab news! I'm off to find out what this orangeworld stuff is all about...

grab it whilst it's free

    Hi Melanie

You should have joined up here earlier!

This was "widely communicated" here in the middle of Feb!

Yes that handset can be used for WAP.

You may need to contact Orange for the settings.
  • You have beaten me to it, but this works abroad as well, for a time. My mate took his contract and PAYG phones with him when we went to France, and the PAYG took 4 days to notice the phone was abroad before deducting the credit! As he only had £1.60 on it anyway, we recon it was around ten quid to the minus by the time the network noticed! Time to get a new PAYG number then...............

In case you don't know, you can access MSN chat and Hotmail through this, so it saves on internet cafes.
"Excuse me, this expires today, will you be reducing it?"
