Contract or PAYG tariff? Which is best?
I'm thinking of getting a new phone as I'm on my 2nd PAYG phone since Sept 1998. I haven't called from the phone in months and I just do texts but that will change when I get a new phone. But the problem is which tariff is cheaper and I always thought of contract phones in being a rip-off!
I don't know how much I'll be using the phone as I've haven't used it in about a year!
Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

You really need to work out how you will use the phone. Different contracts will work out better for different useage patterns. Even a rough idea would help.0
