Help needed: Insurance Excess

Hi All,
I arrived in France yesterday all organised having sorted a cheap rental car, excess insurance etc all through this site. However when I got the desk at Eurocar I had overlooked the fact I needed a credit card to cover the initial excess. Not having a card they would accept, my girlfriend ended up using her card and becoming the main driver. At first it seemed like an ideal solution to a potentially prickly problem. However, in the middle of the night I woke up in a cold sweat realising that our excess cover is in my name and now we have no excess cover at all!!
Does anyone know how we can sort this problem out? I have emailed the insurer to ask if they might change the policy name but obviously our rental agreement has started so we can't get a new policy. Not heard back from them yet but expecting a big fat "no"!
Please help! Meow!

No she is not named. I only got the insurance for me thinking that I would be driving.0

Some insurance excess cover policies allow more than one driver, perhaps check the small print.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Hi guys,
just got off the phone from worldwideinsure who covered me and god bless them if they didn't just change the policy holders name for me to my partners. Anyone looking for excess insurance go with these guys!!! happy ending and proof not all insurers are money sucking vampires!
Thanks for the help.0
