I couldn't confirm for certain, but wouldn't have thought they come much darker as the parts of Asia where the original BB creams are popular are places like Korea and Taiwan where the girls' skin does not often go very dark. I might be wrong though!

thanks, thought that might be the case but will have a look and see what I can find

I like the way your skin looks dewy, totally different to a tinted moisturiser or a foundation

I just got my Garnier BB cream samples today, it's not bad.. a bit light for me (it's the light shade), I would prefer a bit of colour but I guess is ok for winter. I think it can be a bit greasy for me (I have oily skin), but I'm curious now about other BB creams and I've decided to try the Skin79 range, after reading lots of positive reviews on the web.

I got samples too, I didn't like the look of it when I tried it on my arm in Superdrug and now I like it even less:( its far too orange (and I like a bit of orange;)) and far too greasy but coverage was good for what it is, much better than a tinted moisturiser and it felt comfortable iyswim, I wont be buying but if you like the shiny look this good be a good buy:)
Thank you for this site Martin

i have the light tinted stuff and like it, i previously had tried the bobbi brown tinted moisturiser balm which i didnt like at all as was too greasy and shiny whereas the garnier stuff went on smooth and wasnt shiny and covered up quite good the spots i have at the moment on my chin

Doesn't BB cream do the same job as tinted moisturiser?

I won a full size one and it's in medium shade but I feel like a satsuma with it on! Yuck! It hasn't covered anything besides giving me the obvious orange colour. I have combination skin but this is too shiny for me and I am really disappointed. I suppose you can 'water' it down with another moisturiser but I am not convinced and worried that the colour will sink into my pores creating even more problems. Just relieved I didn't buy it to be honest. I might try a primer underneath or putting translucent powder on it just to see if there is a way I can work with it.
Thank you to all posters - you are fabulous!!!

No, a BB cream is supposed to be a sort of tinted miracle cream for the average women. Its supposed to help with spots and problem skin as well as illuminating and evening out skin tone issues with its tinted feature.

IMO just the same as a foundation applied with various other skin creams below, but I'd be wary of applying something suitable for spot care- no matter how mild, over areas that do not get spots.
