Next doors fire needs condemning

Call the Fire Brigade. They have massive powers to prevent danger to people. I can assure you they'd rather come out and advise than come out tomorrow morning with half a dozen bodybags to be filled.

This is SERIOUS danger and you cannot afford to be nice!!!!

To be honest, the hot smoke could ignite what you are stuffing it up with, unblock it and if your house fills with smoke again, get the fire service out, it is their job.

Call the council tomorrow OP. Either Private Sector Housing, Environmental Health or Building Control may get involved as it may be covered by all three's legislation.

Yes...call the fire brigade. They have it far too easy. The local FB seem to spend all day playing pool. I can see through their windows as i pass.

Also,if you have a Carbon monoxide alarm and it ever goes off,call the fire brigade.

after we moved in here, i removed my baxi fire and back boiler, i could see into next doors house!
i sealed the whole fire grate with fire cement.
