Red Pete - Absolutely anywhere means just that - sorry if it's confused you...

Not confused at all, but I'll repeat that no-one can give you meaningful advice without you giving more idea about where you might go and what you want to do when you get there.

You will need between £500 and £135000 capital depending on the answer to these questions.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
  • Whatever the figure, you'll probably need more to come back!
  • I'll consider absolutely anywhere for the adventure of it...

    Simple.

If you have a reasonable amount of money you qualify for a retirement visa for Thailand.

Once there, find a Thai citizen willing to marry your (not difficult if you have adequate capital) and then the two of you can open a business together. Of course, all property has to be in the name of the Thai business partner, but if you marry someone you trust them, don't you?

And if it all goes wrong, suicide is still legal.

Seriously, you need to think it through a bit more before asking for advice.

Not true. You need to be 50 to get a retirement visa in Thailand AND have enough capital, which is either 800,000 baht (16,000 quid) deposited in a bank account in Thailand, or proof of a minimum of 60,000 baht (GBP1200) a month income from overseas.

And if you have a retirement visa, you can't also have a work visa so you couldnt work in any business you set up.

Depends on lots of things. How much capital are we talking about, what do you do for a job, how old are you, do you have anyone in other countries who will sponsor you if you need it ?

Could you not think of anything original to post ? Why cut and paste mine ? Was your post a mistake ?

I reckon Hannellene is a spambot. There are other posts on MSE which have been cut-and-pasted.
