    Thanks for this. Would be ultra-cool if people could keep this running with the best Xbox deals turning up, especially in the runup to the PS3 Launch.

    I wonder if Mr Gates and his crones have a nice 360 discount planned for the week of the PS3 launch, mind you he may have seen the stacks of unsold PS3's in Japan and the States & think there is no need.

    Yes i'm not sure they will need to discount it but they may add some spec to it? maybe bigger hd or somthing? i'm going to wait and see anyway.
  • Thanks for that, irv. I'm on the lookout for a good xbox360 deal. Don't forget that the price drop you're expecting around ps3 launch time /may/ be offset by the rise of interest when Halo3 comes out!

    Best wishes, Neil

    I bought my Xbox, finally. :T

    Weighed up all the pros & cons and actually went for a variation of a deal at Virgin Megastore.

    I got 10% off the total price because I have a Virgin MasterCard so this particular deal will not be any good if you don't have one of their cards.

    Bagged;

    Premium Console inc. Call of Duty 3 (had the limited ed pack but not the game on it's own?!?)
    Entertainment Pack inc. wireless controller + PGR 3 + Arcade (with 1 month gold sub)
    360 universal media remote.

    So three games (ish) + 2 wireless controllers + premium console + media remote for £306.

    I could of had the packages without the media remote for £288 but thought what the hell.

    Anyway, happy hunting....now all I have to do it get this all set up! :confused:

  • sorry if this is a silly question BUT can you stream video to the XBOX 360 (Divx) for playback on TV (I know you can do this with the XBOX and some open source software)?

    Yes, you can use Windows Media Center or the new Vista Media Centre which comes with Vista Home Premium versions and better to stream media from PC to TV via the XBOX 360.

    Thats not what he asked... He asked how he can stream DivX movies from his PC to his Xbox. The standard media centre does not have very many codecs hence why you need to convert the media "on the fly".
