Best XBOX 360 deals around

I have been busy boy today......here's a run down on some of the in-store deals I've checked out today....

there was earlier today (on another forum) a bundle pack advertised = pro console+ ent pack (pgr3+live arcade+extra wireless cont) + latest Tombraider game all for only £279....I tried my local Game store (Carlisle)....they weren't having any of it! even though the TRaider+Entertainment Pack console boxes were on display (coming soon sticker over the price..>£279)...best deal they could offer was Ent pack+pro console @ £299 or console pro+ any game for £299....walked away.


Tried Gamestation, best offer £309 for ent pack+ one game (not including WWW Smackdown extra as advertised on web - told that was only web offer and not instore) walked away.

Next, VirginMegastore....I have a Virgin Mastercard so get 10% off all purchases.....they had the Entertainment pack (PGR3+Arcade+ extra wireless cont) for £299 (£271 with card)....no Call of Duty3 in stock as I wanted....would have cost £309 all in - discounts....walked away.

PC World, the Carlisle store I visited.....XBOX 360 pro+2 games for £299 - sounds a good deal!!!! but I wanted the Ent pack also.....they don't do that bundle and didn't have many games in stock.....also do 2 chart games for £60 - limited stocks!

Next! visited Blockbuster......instore deal....£250 for pro console + pgr3.....good deal! they didn't have any in the store I visited!

Woolworth's, console+any game £299....console+2 games £319.

Asda, pro console+gears of war £279.

I have only two real options.....either I'll go back to Virgin and bag the Ent pack deal for £271 with my virgin card discount then hunt around for COD3.....or give Gamestation (most helpful staff btw!) my business for £309 for the ent pack & COD3.

Best online deals were gamestation (short of stock - long delivery times) and also sendit.com bundle deals.

Anyway, hope this helps anyone in the same xboat as me today!

Thanks for this. Would be ultra-cool if people could keep this running with the best Xbox deals turning up, especially in the runup to the PS3 Launch.

Dont know if this is any help but last week i got X-Box 360 Premium, PGR3 pack(game, live arcade + wireless controller) + any 3 games (excluding Limited editions) for £339 from Gamestation i thought it was a good deal at the time although my own game choices could have been better. HTH

Mate, i went this whole ordeal around 10 days ago.

the best dal i could find was in Game

360 premium with 2 wifi pads + xbox live arcade, PGR3 and viva pinata!

All for £279.99

Just sold all games on ebay for a total of £63.

was tempted by the blockbuster 1 too, but the second pad is a bargain!

Thanks Irv. That's a good bit of research you have done. I won't be going for a xbox360 myself, but my nephew was very impressed with Gears of War. He has a 360 premium package, but he's kicking himself now as he thinks the basic xbox360 is probably better for making adjustments to.

I managed to get Xbox 360 premium (Smackdown bundle pack), Entertainment pack (extra wireless controller, PGR3 & Live arcade) and Gears of War for £309 from Gamestation (in-store) about 3 weeks ago. I could've also got any other game for another £15 (£324)... Wish I had now!!! Oh well!

I forgot to mention that the Blockbuster deal also includes 50x£1 off rental vouchers which would make the package only £200 in effect (if you rent a lot that is!) so is probably the best 360 premium deal around if you require a Premium console package + 1 game (PGR3) and are not bothered about the additional controller or arcade live (Entertainment) bundle.

As mentioned the Entertainment pack that is still around includes PGR3 + Arcade Live games + additional wireless controller and would seem best value if you can grab one, that PLAY.COM deal keeps rising in price btw, it's gone up £20 in the last week alone!

SENDIT.com are doing the entertainment package for £269.89 delivered at the moment (don't know what their delivery times/stock levels are like?) - this seems the best deal for the Prem+Ent pack pretty much anywhere at the moment.


It all depends what you are after and who much you are willing to spend to bag the best bundle deal around I think, myself I really can't justify spending much over £300 on a games machine and as I would like to get the Entertainment pack + COD3 I'm looking at just over £300 at the moment - I understand the more you spend initially the more you save in the long run (extra games as with Game or Gamestation) - but I'm not convinced of this, the price of new games seem to drop after a short while of being out from what I can tell, I saw a couple for £49.99 yesterday which is just scandalous IMHO but most on the shelves seemed around the £20-£37 area (also great online deals are around) and as mentioned you might not get the games you would like in some of the bundle deals due to stock levels or certain games being excluded - I noticed in Game, Gamestation and especially in Blockbuster that they have game offers on for either 'new' games at reduced prices or bigger savings for 'pre-owned' games, example: some pre-owned 2 for £40 at Game or two new games at Currys/PC World for £60. So spending lots on a package with 3-4 extra games might sound like a moneysaving thing to do but may also not be great a move in the long run......I mean, you can only play one or two games at a time can't you?

To recap, the cheapest in-store deals currently available I have found so far....

Blockbuster - 360 Premium console + PGR3 + £50 vouchers = £250
Game - 360 Premium console Entertainment Pack (*includes; extra Wireless controller + Arcade Live games +PGR3) + Tombraider game = £279 (check store to see if offer on yet)
Virgin Megastore - 360 Premium console Entertainment Pack* = £299 (or £271 if you have Virgin Mastercard)
PC World - 360 Premium console + any TWO games = £299.
Gamestation - 360 Premium console Entertainment Pack* + any game (choice of 4 titles in store) = £309 or with two games = £325


Online deals from Sendit.com (£269 for the Entertainment console pack) & bundle deals from Gamestation (as above but with WWW Smackdown as extra) seem the best around but as already mentioned there may be a long wait from Gamestation online for delivery.
