Hmm.. ok Birkee.
THis really really really isn't a last comment to make a point Ruski, but pure coincidence following this post.
BG installed my new boiler, badly, damaged the upstairs floorboards, the boiler had faults they couldn't identify, and couldn't fix despite multiple visits, and we had water leaks.
The diverter valve was installed in the mid position so we had heating full blast in August. then we had diverter valve failure, and it was replaced twice, then we had diverter failure again, and after 4 engineers visits, and two more valves, they finally repaired it AGAIN!
Yesterday I decided to pop the heating on for a little as the Wife was feeling cold, and guess what? The diverter valve had failed again and the heating won't turn off.
So I payed top dollar for the specialists BG, who contracted the job out, and the boiler system has been constant grief ever since. That's FOUR diverter valves down now.
Doesn't seem fair that I'm not legally allowed to do such work myself any more does it?
I think I'm going to replumb this system myself with twin valves, or have the bloody lot ripped out and re-done.
Professionals? I've sh*t em!0
