tecnik are an cheapie brand, I dont have too much experience of them but they dont come with a good rep.at the mo you should find ignis (cheap whirlpool) a reasonable buy. the big problem is that the label on the out is not that important its who makes it and which factory it comes out of there is a lot of rebadging. hence the ignis ffr we now use is the more expensive whirlpool one once you open the box, even some of the literature is whirlpool. every manufacturer does not necessarilyhave good products across the range either. do your reasearch and you should be ok. for eg the kompact new double ovens are lovely teka ones and v similar to the kuppersbusch though you wont find that info anywhere.0

thanks for that
i was told by the kitchen company tecnik was part of bosch and siemans group my local electrical supplier recomended bosch appliances but these are very expensive0 -
bosch are no longer the company they were. we kicked them out of the showroom about 5 years ago and now most but not all of the product range is distinctly mediocre i would not buy themnow. really i would suggest not many manufacturers would get top marks across the board.0

jessmist - why not sign up to Which's free 30 day on-line trial? You could then look at all their reports & rec's on the appliances you are after. I have just done this, you need to give them your details but you are free to cancel before the 30 days runs out.
they don't test every appliance, obviously, but it might give you a starting point

All of mine are Neff. The house is 12 years old and all still going strong. Except the dishwasher, I had to replace that last year, but I think it was my fault it broke.0

I am in same position. Been looking on web at Appliance City and they do a lot of a brand called CDA. Has anyone any info on them?
Glad to have the Bosch warning as was looking at 45cm dishwasher from them but will look again.
Any info on good but reasonably priced Range cookers? Looking at £700-800 range 100cm models. Belling seems to be popping up everywhere for that money.
