You could quite easily be trying to con him out of 4 new tires and he is paying the cost of another garage fitting them etc.

If you had contacted him as soon as you realised the tires were illegal he may have suggested you bring it back and he'd change them for free or even sent you to a garage near you. The problem is it is now much harder to prove they were illegal when you bought the car.

the garage is 32 miles away, could not drive there with dodgy tires.

and as for going to the garage - we were told if we did we would get chucked down the street!!
