10 for £1 tell her I got today:rotfl::rotfl: I have even trained my boy and he reels off things that I say now like 'what is the point of spending money on a card , they only throw it away?' and 'yes it is lovely that card but they will not know it cost x y z so let's get this one that is 59p:rotfl: I have made it into a mission now to find the cheapest one I bought the 10p ones and an individual one today for 29p, he said I could have it, it was cheap enough:rotfl:0 -
Those 5 or seven for a pound cards were made for childrens birthdays. I'm not too keen on the 10 for a pound, but have bought them in the past. I buy a couple of pounds worth every few months and that way I never have to pay a premium at short notice.
When my kids were younger and had a constant stream of parties I spent about £8, sometimes the two for £15 offer from Argos or similar. Now they're a bit older and don't go to so many parties I buy a £10 voucher (I check with the mum what's preferred and it's usually Claires, Primark or Amazon). Then my child will choose them a little something from Primark ie a set of bangles, hair accessory or fluffy socks for about £2, so they have something to open. My daughter had 4 friends to her party and ended up with £40 of vouchers which is a fortune for her.0 -
£8 to £10, try and buy cards when they are cheap. Also buy rolls of birthday wrapping paper from primark.0

I spend approx a max of £5 for School Parties and approx £10 for close friends. I get cards from the card factory (10 for £1).
I also love £1 shops, B&M, HomeBargains for stocking up on little bits and bobs as and when I see them

It is def worth being on here, I saved an absolute fortune last year with the quick grabbits, glitches, % off and being up on and off at silly am times on amazon to get all the lego, we had a bumper xmas year even got some lego left over for this xmas:D
My OH has got used to me saying 'come on let's go' 'where are we going? There is a glitch on at Tesco/toys r us/ etc let's go now and off we go:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: saved a fortune love it:D0 -
Never more than £5 - NEVER. If I'm stuck I'll give them the £5 in the card or for girls I buy a New Look or Claire's Accessories voucher. & I tend to buy cards in £land when you get 3 for a £1 - or Home Bargains.0

£5 for a class mate... up to £10 for a close friend.
I often use notecards as birthday cards as you can get a pack of 10 for £1
I used to buy the Book People packs of ten books for £10 when DD was preschool, I could get 5 gifts out of that.
I also have a nasty habit of reusing gift bags......0 -
As little as possible, is the answer, my OH has a present area on a wardrobe and we buy things whenever one of use sees them on offer. A whole load of people this year are going to have Horrid Henry books as I got a load dirt cheap.
Cards, my OH has a whole box full, that she got for almost nothing from somewhere, paper? Bulk load bought when it was dirt cheap... are you starting to see a pattern here ?

Cards don't end up in the bin here! I put them all in the keepsake boxes, it is lovely to look back at them
