Is anyone else having major issues with coupon printer for safe coupons please?

Mine has always worked fine with minimal fuss but for some reason it has just stopped working in any browser i have, my main is Firefox but i have tried IE and Google Chrome.

It started by asking me to OK java before i printed which i did for a week or so and then it just completely stopped working, i have gotten no error messages it says "sending coupon to printer" as per normal but then nothing happens after that apart from the "thank you for printing you coupon" message.

I have tried everything i can find on Google about rolling back browsers and version of software, updating, reinstalling etc etc even changing config settings and so far nothing has worked, i tried to print the test coupon they have on their site and it printed fine with no issues but they are American coupons, it seems to only be effecting the British ones, it is to the point now were i am completely frustrated with it and have been unable to use safe coupons for a good couple of months.

If anyone has any ideas i would be really grateful the only other thing i can think of doing is an fdisk and TBH i really do not want to.

Java is the problem not the coupon printer.

I friend had the same problem and it turned out she had a plugin that stopped java running automatically. It asked to run Java every time she tried to print a coupon, but one day she hit the "never allow this java to run" button instead of the "allow it to run" button. So from then on when she tried to print a coupon it got sent to the printer but the plugin blocked it in the background. Disabling the plugin fixed the problem, I think it was called "click to play" or something similar.

Also today, on my laptop, windows has decided that java is vunerable and won't allow it to run. It doesn't say anything, just quietly blocks it in the background. I didn't know this until I looked at plugins in Firefox and it said java was vunerable and needed updating. But when I hit the update button it said windows has blocked it. The only option I have now is to go to this page and remove old versions of java and install the new version.

One more thing, on the firefox plugin page the only options for java plugin are "ask to activate" and "never activate", so maybe yours got set to "never activate"?

Hey Guys, Is anyone else having problems with Tesco atm, their tills will not scan any other coupons except their own ones. I tried to use a few safe coupons, the free coke zero one and the free almond milk one.
The till wouldnt scan any of them! i've been doing this over a year now and its never happened to me!
emailing tesco and the manufacture's to find out where the problem is!
was so embrassed and the checkout supervisor made me feel like a thief!!

Sometimes if the SA hasn't pressed total, coupons won't scan.

Safe coupons have 2 barcodes on and they often scan the wrong one..they scan the top right instead of the left bottom corner.

The free product ones sometimes require manual input of the price.. this often confuses SA's.

If you have bought the products and none of this applies they should have put through as non scan.

I often have to tell the young SA's how to work the tills:rotfl:

When that happens to me, and they call the supervisor, that's what the supervisor tells them to do.

Sometimes, with some CA's, if it doesn't scan they just type in the number, and that works. I guess not all CA's are fully trained, or possibly they were trained to do that but by the time it actually happened they have forgotten what to do.

When I go to the express checkout the lad scans the voucher once, if it doesn't scan he picks up his scanner gun and uses that. According to him, the till scanner is useless, it only scans "proper pre-printed" vouchers or vouchers printed on very good quality home printer. It won't scan vouchers printed with an average home printer, and, if it doesn't scan the first time it will never scan that voucher so there is no point in trying it twice. The gun, on the other hand, never fails to scan any voucher first time.

Thank you for replying, I disabled all plug ins apart from coupon print and java and tried to print and still it loads as if it is going to print then moves to the next page saying thank you for printing. i even click to always allow java when it popped in the address bar and still nothing, don't get why USA ones will print but not uk ones surely they work on the same thing. Can you or anyone think of anything else please

When you go to print try saying print Microsoft XPS Document Writer. That saves it as a doc and you can save where you want, then print it. That worked for me.
