Ok I am not too sure what is going on here. I am fairly new to this whole thing, and I thought we were meant to talk about coupons or our saving using coupons?

I have really been trying to get into this couponing thing. I am totally addicted already. I did an asda shop yesterday and got a £25.46 shop for £10.88. It would have been £9.88 but I left a couple of coupons at home. But was really pleased. What a buzz when you see it all coming back off. Anyway I will leave you all to fight amongst yourselves I just wanted to say thank you to MT for all her help and organisation.

p.s Super jealous of those in the US. I am american and took it for granted. I was too young at the time to care about all that, and you can get tons. But extreme couponing seems a bit like hoarding to me. I mean people buying nappies when they don't even have kids just cuz it's free and then storing them...that is silly. Not only will the stuff in the nappies not work so well after a while, but why not give it away to shelters or children's groups or something.

Anyway hope you all enjoy your coupons.
  • Total groceries today : £79.15
    Total paid: £57.22 after coupons
    Total saved £21.93

Thanks for all your hard work MT etc..

Thanks Sarah. What you say is good policy although all the coupons I have found todate and which appear in post 1 have all been found through regular daily googling.

I think people are suspicious because they seen to appear on the large coupon thread before this one.

of course you have - it's just coincidence that you post them just after they appear on the other thread?! If people find this thread useful then that's great but give credit where credit is due!

This is a no-chat no-nonsense no-impolite thread. If you don't like the thread - move on. If you cannot say anything nice - move on. Your accusations make you sound like a 'cybercop with a cause'. An intent to be insulting and harmful. Move on.

(By the bye, strange how MT thanks you for your negative post whilst refusing to thank the opening post of this thread). ....ummmmmm ;););););););)

Personally I think that thread is a pointless repetition - but if other people find it useful then each to their own. However, I do think the people who actually do the hard work should be thanked for it rather than someone claiming all the work as their own - that's why a lot of threads have links to other posts/sites so the original OP can get the thanks rather than someone just reposting stuff that's already on the site elsewhere. It's really not a new concept just a matter of manners and common courtesy.

And if defending courtesy and manners is being a 'cyber-cop' then sign me up now!

And who MT 'thanks' is really nothing to do with anyone but MT - but I personally wouldn't thank someone for simply regurgitating mine and others hard work.
