I AGREE! I think we should all agree!
First of all I am very sorry for all of it! This is so not me! I think I should explain myself a little better, because this form of communication (not face to face) leaves room for interpretation unless very well explained. I started using coupons about 2 weeks ago, just like everybody else trying to save money where possible. I am not an extreme couponner or anything like that. I HAD NO IDEA that you could use a coupon like I did last night. So get 50p off garlic bread with a 50p off yogurt and co. coupon. It was the first time I did that, wondering if it is possible. BUT I asked a colleague in A while I was shopping and he said it should be fine. Then, at the till, the other A colleague said it is fine! The coupons have been accepted and I thought that maybe you can just use it for ANY WW product, even though it did not make sense why. I did not try to trick anyone and I am not here to misuse the coupons. When I got home I felt I had to share that with you, tell you all about my find and I now realize that it was naive of me to think that you did not know already as long as most off you are so old in this "business". And I agree, it makes no sense to use that coupon for garlic bread!!! It was lucky and stupid in the same time! I am sorry if I offended somebody, that was not at all the point. I myself thought the rude comments were not necessary when I was only trying to help and not to show you how I tricked them. Honestly, if I were to cheat I wouldn't come here to tell you about it, would I?
All in all, I do hope that you all understand where I am coming from here and it is now clear that I did not intend to cheat A or offend any of the members of this forum!!!

Think we need a bit of history for newbies.

A little bit of history for you and all newbies that obviously not know what went on in the past.

A few years ago, Tescos and Waitrose would accept any coupon that was handed in, for payment towards your shopping, as long as they stocked the product. I can't remember the date but someone will be along who does, Martin (owner of MSE) went on National TV and told everybody that Tesco accepted any coupon against your shopping bill as long as they stocked the product. We call it Black Friday. That day, that interview was the end of Tesco and Waitrose accepting coupons against your shopping bill, as long as they stocked the product. Tesco put out a notification that they would no longer accept any coupons, from now on you had to purchase the item and redeem a valid coupon against it.

We don't encourage fraud/misuse/photocopying of coupons here, as this behaviour is what is causing manufacturers to release less coupons and for supermarkets to refuse to take them.

We all like to save money, which is why we are here, but we like to do it the way the supermarkets and manufacturers ask us to, so we can keep on couponing and saving money.

Oh and by the way, if the supermarket does not actually stock the product you are redeeming the coupon for, and Head Office find it has been accepted, the store get told off. My local Asda now lets you use coupons but you have to put them to one side, and the SA has to come over (on self scan) and approve them all before you can complete your shopping. The SA has to manually check each coupon has been used against the appropriate coupon.)

Also with coupon misuse, the supermarkets do not get redeemed by the manufacturer, if there are more coupons being submitted, then have actually been put out for retail use.

Why is there no chat on this thread? A few years ago, there was, but it would get megga crazy, a new coupon would be out, and people would chat about where they shopped, how much they reduced their shopping bill by, etc. Some people complained too much chat, and it was just supposed to be for coupons, not chatting, and they couldn't find coupons amongst all chat, so the chat got moved to the "Money off coupon chat thread". It is not a complaint thread, it is where people can ask questions and chat. You will see over there, there has already been a discussion about coupon misuse lately.

The purpose of keeping this thread free of chat is so people can log on or read the thread and just see the new coupons without having to read loads of chat.

BT is Browntoa who is the Board Guide and is the only person, along with MSE Head Office Staff to move posts to another thread if they are more appropriate there. BGs don't delete posts, they may refer them to MSE for guidance who will then delete.

MT - mytrleturtle does not have the facility to move posts or delete them, except delete her own.

Hope this explains things a little more clearly. I am sorry people feel the need to lurk, but if you do post, we can try and keep this thread friendly.

Its worth emailing head office and querying the situation.There is a link on the first pages of the forum.Ask for them to send a copy of their coupon policy that you can print and take with you.It sometimes helps to sort these things out

New coupons in the post over the last week or so from emailing companies with feedback, suggestions and 1 which was a complaint

600 points on my boots card - little complaint as a bottle of bath gel had come open and leaked over everything else in my delivery so i had to bathe it all. lol.
£2 x 2 quorn vouchers
£2 cadbury voucher
£3 yoomoo voucher
£1 x 3 premier foods vouchers for emailing a suggestion for hartleys squeezy bottles to have softer lids after I knocked mine out the fridge and the lid smashed
£5 mccains vouchers - complaint about the jacket potatoes I brought
4 full sized oxy products sent to me after I emailed and asked for a single sample to test for sensitive skin
£2 x 2 weightwatchers vouchers
£3 yeo valley voucher

Quite happy with what I received as I only emailed 25 or so companies and it didn't take long at all

Hi it's on the right hand side of the page where it says forum jump. at the moment we are on Discount Codes and vouchers click on it and scroll up or down and you ll see all the various topics , click on the restaurant one and you ll see it there.Hth:)
