First of all, the coupon you posted isn't valid. I found it a while ago myself and tried it but it did not work, so that is why I did not post it here.
Second of all, I did not misuse the coupon. I mentioned it because I thought maybe someone else wanted to use it for something else than yogurts. I did show it to the till and they said it's no problem! How is that misuse?
Thirdly, I think it's naive of you to think that a potential misuse of a few coupons causes shops to reject them. It's the big corporations' greed and business methods that try and prevent private consumers getting an extra little discount.
But, as it has already been said, we are here to help each other save money!
Therefore using, successfully or not, against anything else is against the terms of the coupon and could be classed as misuse.
Those of us that have been around for quite a while remember the good old days where any voucher was acepted and have seen this tightened up over the years. It is misredemption like that that then makes companies to tighten their policies and make voucher use more hassle for all of us.

Hi XPF,
So you admit that in "the old good days" you misused coupons! Well that means that you ruined it for all of us, as I am new to couponing, you see?
AND MYRTLETURTLE,

NO! In the good old days, supermarkets policies stated that as long as they stocked the product a coupon could be used. Unfortunately I was a little too late to the bandwagon and missed all but the tail end of this. BUT, whatever coupons I did redeem, was within the rules of the supermarket concerned.
Am pretty sure if you go and ask any supermarket tomorrow if you can get 50p off a weightwatchers pack of X if I give you a coupon for 50p off a pack of weightwatchers Y they will say 'go away'!0 -
how can you be sure of that, as long as I asked them and they said "yes", and not "go away"? It wasn't misuse as long the A till lady said it is fine and she happily accepted it, you see? It was, as you said, "within the rules of the supermarket". Anyway, no point in continuing this discussion or soon myturtle will complain again and move it to the "complaints thread" or something. I will no longer comment on anything from now, I will keep it simple, post new coupons and that's that! it seems to be more the style of this forum anyway.Balance recognizes that many good things in life are good only in moderation. The difference is whether the supermarkets policy is to accept any coupons for the items they stock or whether the items were actually purchased.
A while ago they accepted anything they stocked (their rules!) but now you have to buy the product that you have a voucher for.0 -

I've got some bits of paper that look like £5 notes
I'm sure many a "till lady" given one could have gone "it is fine and she happily accepted it" - they're quite authentic.
Would you like some to use in your A ?
I can easily runoff a few more.

Christ! What's happened to this place!
Just to add, MT was right, it is coupon misuse, we are all here to try and save money, but more and more stores are getting stricter on what they do and don't take and you were just lucky this time that they accepted the coupon for something you didn't buy.0
