    I'm trying to get Tesco to send me their coupon policy but so far it is like getting blood out of a stone!

    This is what I have so far:

    Please allow me to explain our coupon policy;

    From now on, we accept all Tesco and supplier/product coupons as long as you have purchased the product, and we will continue to issue and accept Tesco Price Check coupons on the rare occasion that your shopping is cheaper at Asda.

    We have carried out a lot of research into finding out what our customers want when they go shopping, and the feedback shows that one of the key things is lower prices. We are very committed to helping our customers spend less at the checkout, so we have taken this feedback on board and have already dropped the price of 3000 popular lines.

    We would not have been able to invest so heavily in our Big Price Drop without reviewing some of our current offers and unfortunately, the acceptance of competitor coupons was something that we could not sustain. However, we believe that our customers will welcome cheaper prices over being able to use an occasional competitor coupon.

    I hope this explains our position.

    Is it me or is this just too vague?

    This is the reply I received when I complained, had to edit some of it as it is personal to me..Hope this helps with any confusion in the future.

    Dear *******

    Thank you for your email. My name is *****; I am the Customer Service Manager who will be dealing with your issue today.

    I am sorry to hear of the problems you experienced at our Tesco store recently when you tried to redeem your internet coupons for the Fairy liquid.

    Please allow me to explain, there is no limit for the amount of internet coupons we can accept at our tills, provided the products identified on the coupons have been purchased. Therefore if you purchase 5 bottles of washing up liquid and you have 5 coupons where each serial numbers are different, these coupons should be accepted at the checkout. Further to this, printed coupons are accepted but photo copies with the same serial number are notaccepted.

    To ensure there is no further confusion at the ***** Store, I have spoken to the Duty Manager who advised she will ensure all staff are aware of the coupon acceptance policy. Also, your complaint has been logged under reference number ******* for the attention of the relevant department.

    Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience you have been caused; should you need any further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me.
    Kind regards

    Anyone received their e-mail for the free crisps yet - if I remember last week the coco cola e-mails came through immediately.
  • If anyone has the £1.50 Fairy Platinum Dishwasher vouchers or £1 Gilette Venus vouchers from SSM/Before I shop then the Fairy Platinum tabs are on offer for £5 in Tescos (down from £10.50) and Gilette Razors are £3.74 so quite a good deal for both with the vouchers!
