Forget it everyone, retentions in South Africa were fully understanding of the lack of technical support & the fact they wanted me to pay for "the geek squad" 3 days into contract & that my line is 24mbps capable but TT were setting me at 12mbps on TalkTalk Essentials (installed with FREE £50 credit for new line connection) package @ £13.80 line rental & £6.50 = £20.30 per month.

I just got BT Infinity MATCHED as TalkTalk Fibre on Plus package for £29 a month from retentions with no installation fees !!

    So for £8.70 a month more I go from 12MB to 38MB with unlimited - internet, 01,02,03 & 0870/0845 calls.

I would have been £28 on BT Infinity with line rental at £13.90 ! so £1 more with TT saves me £12.90 a month over BT, same package for package on TT is £38.30, discounted to £29 - £9.30 saving a month ;)

TT also do 500 mobile mins at £5 a month bundle (30 days commitment), which I may add later !

Apparently its good to surfsurf at 38mbps as well as talktalk unrestricted by off peak ;)

Just over a week for install ;)

TalkTalk you be McDonalds & I'll be Burger King, I'll be having it my way and you'll be loving it ! win/win :D

LATEST: Copy & paste of complaint sent to TT today 1 min ago as bill now avail after being locked out my account from 4th until today.

    TT the devils spawn !

    "A/C 1006867037

    1) Removal of mobile mins not completed prior to activation - charged.

    2) Speeds were 9-11MBPS on a 24MBPS product when other companies could get 1MBPS under the advertised top speed, Orange estimate 19MBPS, BT - 20MBPS@ 19 MBPS/Infinity 39MBPS.

    3) Tech support staff rude, arrogant and had to wait a minute between "support" screens, ignoring facts I had done everything they were requesting I do for a second time with staff, RESOLUTION - I pay for Geek Squad to come diagnose problem with TT router (I had reset router & re-installed Windows 7 & ALL updates for Windows 7 & wireless adapter)
    Request for replacement modem/router denied.

    4) Called disconnections as per 1-3 above offered FREE Fibre upgrade to not leave via MAC within 30 days connection. ACCEPTED & in good faith upgraded to PLUS informed £29 a month as I asked asked how much it would be, agreed PLUS and Fibre at £29 a month.

Result:- FIBRE charged & not upgraded to PLUS !

Today, my bill reflects NONE of this. No £50 credit first bill for line connection as could not get the current promotion at sign up date as new line. Mobile mins not cancelled either month billing, still on Ess package, charged for Fibre, never informed of £25 Fibre activation fee....and on and on.

Cant register for talktalkmembers website as a/c landline number not recognised.

Call for MAC today, Option 1, 4, 2 for disconnections, gentleman says this is not disconnections and says he transfer - hangs up, 2nd call attempt - hold for ages, pick up and hang up & i get customer survey - enters BAD via 0,0,0 for each question.

First bill - £127.32 for being disabled & on benefits - TT think thats affordable !

Now holding for third time !!!

3rd call retentions:- Said I'm not paying £25 connection fee to Fibre as was NEVER advised such, Fibre was FREE on retention call, not chargable.

Also still awaiting £50 credit to first bill to cover free installation.

500 Mobile Minutes Boost - Boost cancelled before TT install due to new mobile contract with 3000 cross network minutes.

    15 Sep 11 to 03 Oct 11 £3.19
    04 Oct 11 to 03 Nov 11 £5.00

    Fibre Optic Boost
    01 Oct 11 to 03 Oct 11 £0.99
    04 Oct 11 to 03 Nov 11 £10.00

TOTAL to be credited to account : £94.18

Agreed new deal - Fibre & Essentials @ £31.83 pm with months FREE line rental & half price for 6 months =

    Nov, Dec, Jan 12 = £14.75 pm
Feb, March, April = £18.00 pm

April 2012 to call and reactivate same as above:

    May, June, July £14.75 pm
Aug, Sept, Oct £18.00 pm (out of contract)

Unless confirmed in writing/email the above credits for £94.18 are applied to my current bill and the NEW billing structure as agreed on my call this evening I doubt very much this genuine & like all the other TT agreements with staff which have been applied to my account and billed not as agreed and if no confirmation is forwarded to me of the above I request MAC & all other codes needed for transfer with no minimum "downtime" due to disability of all services away from TT to another telecom company (who will bill me as agreed), of course within my 30 day TT term - the "30 day no quibble cancellation policy".

Copy and pasted as complaint to Ofcom & TT CEO Dido Harding."

Are you wishing now you hadn't spammed so many other threads saying how good and cheap the TT fibre was? ;)
