I cannot believe the ineptness of Lloyds and HBOS
The only reason I am, on the whole, satisfied with their service these days is because I can do almost everything myself. The only thing I need their help with is physically paying in cheques and correcting DD errors - and they can't even get the DD corrections right. However, this latest business of showing account entries dated in advance, I don't agree with.
Although my account now runs accurately, I have lost out on compensation payments for the errors they were always making! I was forever sending letters of complaint and getting £50 or £75 in compensation. It was a nice little earner;)0 -
I wonder how much CPD makers we will all see, lloyds never wanted to ever give me anything. But halifax everythingDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I still can't get into my Halifax account. I can log in to the main page but can go no further. All accounts have a red x beside them and balances are still showing the amounts from 9 days ago. Very worrying as they should be reducing because of D/D's going out. Unless they arn't going out in which case its even more worrying. I can't be the only one still not sorted surely.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Earthboy - sorry maybe I should have been clearer - the payments show as coming out of my cleared funds and have done in the 2 yrs I have held my flexiaccount.:hello: Oh to come back as as fish - love to be 'under the sea' :j0

I withdrew some cash from an ATM earlier today and the receipt tells me that I can withdraw almost the whole of the balance in my Reward Current Account (well in excess of the usual £300 per day limit). It certainly didn't show this on receipts before 'the changes'.
I assume this is just another one of the many errors, rather than a policy change ...0 -

The receipt has always shown the balance in the account and the amount I can still withdraw today.
It still does.
The balance in the account appears correctly.
The amount I can still withdraw (listed under the header 'YOU CAN WITHDRAW') used to be £300 minus the amount I had just withdrawn - typically £200, £100 or £0.
It now shows the balance in my account, rounded down to the nearest £10, as the amount I can withdraw.
Not normal ...
If they are going to change things so that it no longer tells you an accurate figure that you can withdraw, then they ought to have changed the program printing the receipts ...0 -
They have managed to lose all record of both my childrens accounts. Spent nearly 2 hours in there with them trying to locate them. Eventually they found a history of the payments in so they accept the accounts did exists, but the account numbers they have no record of. They also managed to close my ISA without my permission.
I was going to transfer my bank account to them but after this I have gone elsewhere!
This lot make the NatWest look extremely efficient and capable.0 -

You would be amazed how many idiots there are out there who complain about the opposite to what you are stating. Trust me in my past experience I have had people querying why can they only draw out £300 when there is £1000 in the account.
Technically speaking you can withdraw the funds either in branch or using debit card to make payments so what the receipt is stating is not incorrect.
There are just no pleasing some people are there?0 -

Actually, it seems a fair question ...
It's their money, after all.
Seems pointless to have to move money from account to account, simply to be able to get your hands on more than £300 cash once the branches have closed. (Some people can't get into branches due to work or other commitments.)Technically speaking you can withdraw the funds either in branch or using debit card to make payments so what the receipt is stating is not incorrect. There are just no pleasing some people are there?0
