the couple who i bought him from admitted they hadnt had the time to train him, had an accident on the kitchen carpet this morning, but i cleaned it up without a fuss, hopefully one day he'll learn. he was very good at the vets, and had his first injection with no problems, the vet checked him over, and gave us some flee and worm stuff, as we couldnt be sure of when he last had it done.
also got him royal canin food, which i shall mix with his other food gradually til he gets used to it.

For pet insurance, i would suggest pet plan supreme cover only. The reason being my dog had to have his leg amputated at the age of 2 after he caught MRSA.

Over the 6 month period, all this cost approx £18,000. Most companies would never cover this amount.

Pet plan supreme cover, paid for this and the truth is they will never recover their money back.

All im saying is look into the insurance very carefully, but based on cost any insurance is better then none.

Be prepared for your doggie being VERY ill in a few days time if he has worms. The vet didnt warn me about it, and it was very shocking when my pup (similar story to yours) vomited dead worms 4 days after his treatment. If he has only a few worms then he will be OK, but if he has lots of worms then its kinda yukky!
