Kira, I can not stand my cat licking herself right now, just the sound of it turns my stomach!! Even in the night, with my sore pelvis and hips, if i can hear her from the hall i HAVE to get up and shoo her away! Drives me nuts!
Lucy, thanks very much for the raspberry leaf tea reminder! I keep getting the emails from all diff companies and tbh tend to delete themI tried the tea form with DD2, made me heave real bad, so took to drinking it cold and downing it in one! Dont know if it had the same effect haha, she was also 10 days late.....hhmmmm....
Have just got back form toyrus, got a car seat blanket for just £2.99 and the footmuff for a stroller to match for just £9.99I dont even have a stroller yet lol, but i`m prepared!! Its blue with trains on ( i think!)

Hmmm, this has got me thinking, DH and I are not PJ wearing types, in fect the only time I wear anything to bed is when I am ill or staying alone in a hotel.
What are you girlies planning on wearing or not wearing when the time comes to push out the watermelon???
I suppose this could have a bearing on my hospital bag which I haven't even started planning yet, let alone gathering to gether. What point did you all start pulling together your hospital bags?
Thanks!!Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Evening. Just popping on fast.
Love the new bump pics Gilly and 4nnabella.
For whoever asked about savings- once Rose is registered (council closed til 3rd Jan), we will open a Junior ISA which will eventually maximise into a high interest junior account and ISA. She will probably have some invested in stocks and shares as well. Was advised to do that by my dad, who worked with a bank for years. At the moment, all Rose's savings are in a high interest account of mine.
We haven't had it too bad since the birth. I'm not as lightheaded and dizzy, so the iron must be working, though it left Rose a little colicky. It's mainly been feeding, sleeping etc since the birth.
She lost 11.2% of her birth weight when she was measured on my discharge- apparantly quite normal, and up to 10% is within range for breastfed babies. I was told they weren't concerned Rose had lost that little bit more, as I'd been sick.
She was weighed yestarday, and is up to 7%, so all lookswell, andshe's bang on target with all the baby charts.
For those who will be 1st time mothers- nothing prepares you for just how much can be stored in the first properly dirty nappy.
We've spent the past few days getting to know eachother, she feeds that much that theres little time for much else! We've been visited a few times by friends etc, or have Skype'd a lot which is handy as my family and hometown is an hours drive away and I'm still advised not to drive.
Shes been carefully introduced to the dogs, R Collie being only mildly interested, and Lab who just wants to lie near her, and isn't allowed to!
Sleep isn't bad either, with Rose waking only once or twice.0 -
Hi, lurked from the parents thread. Just wanted to warn about starting RLT too soon. My friend went into early labour and can only put it down to RLT. I'd def reccomend it as I has a fab short labour but I waited till 36 weeks on the strict instructions of my midwife.
Look forward to seeing you all on the parents thread x0 -
I got a thin pink dressing gown from Sainsbury the other week, 1/2 price to £7 then 25% off too
I have really bad acid reflux this time. Never had it with DD1 and DD2, all of my girls had full heads of jet black hair. DD2 had a full on mullet with the top being over an inch long stood straight up on end!! xxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

Wouldn't worry Icey, I've not made a start on mines yet. Will start to tomorrow, they say you should have it ready from 36 weeks with first baby and 34 weeks with 2nd/3rd etc.
I bought 2 pairs of the fleecy style button down type PJ's from La Senza, and planning on those for after the birth, and I'm planning on buying some sort of nighty from Primark for the labour part.
Before getting pregnant I wore pants only in bed, but from about 16 weeks I had leaky boobs, so had to start wearing a bra, so just took to full pj'sThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Gilly will be taking one but have a dark coloured fluffy one which I will leave in car as too big for bag. I have a shorter cotton one which I will put in the car too but really want to be covered up!0

 WHAAAT?!? I was told it was an old wives tale about it starting labour, and that the only thing it done was reduce the pushing stage.
Oh dearThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Glad you're both settling in well Lirin and that she's not waking too much, you sound like you've got a really good one there, especially if you're breast feeding! More pics please, as she's adorable!!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
