Morning all. Hope everyone is feeling OK. I slept all yesterday afternoon when I got in from work got up to make tea and walk the dogs and then went back to bed. I would say I feel better for it but I went in the kitchen and there was a smell (not sure what like a kitchen cleaner mixed with last nights tea smell, not really minging) and I promptly threw up.NIce.
Just sat chilling for a bit before I go tackle the dishwasher.
Sounds nice to be force fed Oreo's GillyMy kind of inlaws.
Kandboys I have quite a few names from your list in my top 10 although my OH (much to my annoyance) told his mother our number one and she just laughed. That is why I don't want to tell anyone at all because then it will be too late. I love this name but I am worried it could be a little old fashioned (well it is very old fashioned actually).
Labour vibes to those waiting
Can't believe I have 10 weeks left. scary stuff.0 -
OMG I am getting near the top of the list just under 2 weeks to go.
hopefully have the bedrooms swapped back to where they should be by mid week.
Then I will be as ready as i'm going be.
My Stokke pushchair arrived yesterday, got it in the dark navy, got it pricematched so cost less than rrp,I think i now have everything except for a sterliser.
congrats to those who have had thier lo, and hello to all the newbies.
Huge labour vibes to those i need of them
I tried all the old wives tales to evict my last lo and nothing worked, I just do overdue, and they come when they are ready.
It doesnt bother me going over my dates, but would defo prefer to go in to labour on my own than be induced.
So will still have any sweep offered and will be bouncing on a gym ball once i get done and near my dates.
This one is due on our wedding anniversary.
We only have 1 boy, and still are struggling to find a name we both agree on for this bump which is supposed to be a boy.0 -
Morning all!
I'm still preggers FlowerWhich name do you like - come on share!!!
We like Adam....but our surname is West....Adam West? Slightly dodgy old style Batman? Yeah, sure you see my problem :rotfl:
Girls names I always liked Holly, Isobel, Lily, Eva erm if I think of more I'll post them! I went to school with a girl called Willow who was built like a supermodel and the name just worked for her! She's gone a bit weird now though...
Jenjade - I love Charlie for a girl, one of my best friends is "officially" Charlotte but has always been Charley. I liked the slightly different spelling too, always thought that was a good idea. It was you that was asking wasn't it?
Flower - Noah is a brilliant name, the only reason we're not using it is because close friends of ours already snaffled it! I think it'll easily suit all ages (and I've never met a bloke called Noah who wasn't gorgeous)
Tax credits - have a look hereit sounds like you can add the baby to an exisiting claim over the phone. To claim Child Benefit you need the birth certificate and you get the form in your Bounty pack from the hospital. In my experience most changes to tax credits usually take about 3 weeks to process but your payments should be backdated. Hope that helps
Am under orders from hubby to sit still and rest today following my show yesterday. He won't believe me that one tiny little 5p sized pink spot at this stage in pregnancy is absolutely nothing to worry about...bless him. He won't win though, I've got tons I want to do today!
Hope you're enjoying the rugger Kandboys! Its just not the same without a cold bottle of lager for me0 -
Ahh bless your oh winnie, it's sweet when they show they're worried isn't it.
I can't believe if I was on the list I'd be next!!! I'm still convinced I'm going overdue, left the midwife appt very disheartened as the baby has only engaged 1 more 5th despite all the period pains and stabbing pains round my cervix. She wouldn't sweep as I'm not officially due until Tuesday, but she has made me an appointment at a different centre for Tuesday so I can have a sweep then, rather than having to wait until Friday for an appointment there. I've racked up an impressive 11 midwives now, that's got to be some kind of record...
Having a baking day today as meeting some friends tomorrow and the weather here is forecast to be pretty rubbish so I thought I'd console myself with cake. Hope everyone has a good day and labour vibes to all who want them!0 -
hey peeps can i have a moan i feel really grumpy today.
my legs are killing me my varicous veins are hurting and getting worse each day. on my days home i spend my time sat of lying down. i saw the doc in aug and he signed me off for 2 weeks to rest and wrote me a doctors note for reduced duties requesting i spend more of the day sitting. this has not happened at work manager said she cant change my duties until i have seen occuptational health. I have no problem with seeing them and went in on the first day of my sick in the second week of Aug to fill the forms in and she didnt have them! after i went beck to work 3rd sept we sat together and filled in a form however she said it was an older sytle form and she needed to copy it to a new one. it cant be sent until i have signed it. it is now nearly a month later and i have not been asked to sign it and it has not been sent! she is dragging her feet
what can i do?? i have 8 working weeks left this included a week annual leave at the end october. i can get signed off for 7 weeks but things arent changing and i am in so much pain
What should i do advice please

Oh Jen, Thats appalling! Not sure what your situation would be financially, but i would be concerned at being signed off for pregnancy illness this close in, as it will automatically trigger your M/l once you get to 4 weeks. HOWEVER given how awful and unsympathetic your boss is being, and frankly not following her employment requirements, i would be VERY tempted to go and see your doctor, and tell him about all the problems with her, how upset and anxious it is making you, and the stress it is causing, and ask him to sign you off work with stress. That way she can do nothing about it, you dont have the worry and upset of dealing with her, and you dont loose out financially. Dont feel guilty about leaving work in the lurch for 7 weeks, they obviously dont deserve it!

morning all, another moan here, after feeling fine all week, i went to bed around half ten last night and woke up at 12.45 and started being sick again, felt really rough. managed to go back to sleep again around 2.30 so slept in till 8. but back and throat are now sore from being sick.
have tried out the tens machine i hired from tesco and i think ive pretty much got how it works. now just need to go into labour to use it lol
hubby was down the pub last night so he is still in bed , might go and wake him up in a mo though as i know he has stuff he wants to do to day.
hope everyone has a good day. xnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
bump makesfour do you know if you are having a boy or a girl? congratulations
I have booked for a 3d/4d scan today going to have it on the 13th october cant wait
Thankyou..it's a boy bump and we're calling him Jack.So I'll have two boys two girlsJust need a middle name, nothing seems to go with Jack. We've chosen really traditional names for the other three so Jack is perfect... couldn't really have an off the wall name alongside three "normal" names.
Goofd luck those approaching their due date...I'm having nightmares about labour already <shudder>!! xxxSlightly mad mummy to four kidlets aged 4 months,6,7 and 8:D:D xx
