  • Hello girls, how we all doing?

I've been whinging about OH on another thread (thanks Gilly, WW and others from here who supported me over there) but haven't been on here much. I've stopped whinging about him now and I know it's my hormones more than it is him - I just kept crying yesterday and last night OH started to snore quietly in bed so I took myself off to the spare room and slept there, after sobbing for about an hour. Not quite sure what I've got to moan about to be honest, just had anything and everything going round in my head (feeling guilty that there's been so much stress for me, OH and most probably the baby, guilty that I ate loads of chocolate yesterday, guilty that I offended my stepmum for turning down that baby chair, guilty that I ranted about my mum on here when really I know she means well and is just excited to become a grandma, sad for my brother who can't seem to sort himself out at the grand old age of 27, bad for scaring my pregnant-worrier-friend when I told her that the maternity ward closes sometimes, awful for being so demanding on OH etc etc).

Some people have said the more you turn inward the more you're getting ready for the baby to come. So I hope that's soon, the physical side of pregnancy still is all ok but the emotional side is doing my head in. I'm not very stable! Sobbing my heart out every night cannot be good, and makes me look like I've been punched in both eyes the next day!

So I need to turn myself around really - what good am I going to be to my baby if I'm all negative?! I need to chill out, take things in my stride more and see the positive in things, rather than focusing on the silly/bad stuff.

Aaaaaanyway............. I did some batch cooking yesterday, made up tons of bolognese which we also had for dinner. Problem is it was rather on the greasy side (didn't realise but my chopped toms were in olive oil and garlic, thought it was just garlic) and now we've got shedloads of it. Oh well. Planning on doing some more over the weekend and next week too. Birth pool is inflated (not filled with water yet) and I've borrowed a Tens Machine from a friend, so we're nearly cooking with gas... Just need my car seat to come back in stock on the Boots website now. We're going for the Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix - though I do like the look of the Pebble, but can't seem to find a definitive answer as to whether the Pebble goes on the Bugaboo Cameleon (our pram) or not...

So happy Friday ladies, chat soon, BM :) x

I've got the cameleon and were told that the pebble would fit, although we've opted for a cabriofix :)

Blue Monkey, I'm having one of those days with OH today, he thinks I don't understand him and I think he doesn't understand me. Came through this morning to find an empty yoghurt pot sat on the arm of the sofa, and when I ask him about it, it's "I forgot" He think I'm OCD and over bearing, but I just don't think it's much to ask for rubbish to be put in the bin (this is from last night btw) then his excuse is he's stressed out and got a lot on his plate, which I know he does, he does so much more than me, for us but I just don't think I'm being unreasonable :( I tried to explain to him the reason I think he's stressed is because he doesn't organise his time correctly. He works 3/4 days a week and has uni the other days, but his shifts aren't all day and neither is uni, but he'l happily lay in bed until all hours of the afternoon if work/uni isn't until later, and I'm trying to explain in a calm manner than if he just tried to get out of bed a few hours earlier he would get so much more done and wouldn't be cramming and stressing, but he just doesn't seem to want to listen.

I'm honestly at my wits end. Now I feel horrid because I don't do anything and he does everything. :(:(:(

It really sucks Jen :( I don't want to back down though and say that everything is my fault and I'm sorry but I know if I do he'l take no notice and we'l be back here again in a few weeks. I honestly don't know what the answer is :(

... Dont feel horrid, your probably a bit hormonal like the rest of us! Think because you are at home its very easy to 'stew' over things and I am guilty of that at times. If you want him to pick it up then tell him but leave it and dont clear it up, but it does require willpower otherwise just let it go over your head. When bubs comes along and the proverbial S:eek::eek:t hits the fan he will buck his ideas up and make more of an effort. I am sure that these annoyances will not seem so big when you have a baby to distract you. Yesterday my hubby did make an effort and tidied the second bedroom up as I had been getting stressed about it. *But* it is not done how I would like it but I thanked him as he really made an effort and can now get round to do things to finish up. The thing that I would usually scream about is the fact that he hoovered but there is still stuff round the edges eg a spoon FGS!! on the floor but I 'bit my tongue' as he actually expects me to critisise so made a point of not doing so... !!!! Try and focus on the positive things, you are well, bubs is well, you have lovely things for the baby and you will be having a lovely baby before long :)
