  • Morning :)

Had my lucozade challenge thing this morning and 28 week bloods (though I am only 26?!)

Reading through all your posts I feel a little embarraed by how much prep I have done, moses basket and stand up, all other nursery furniture up (just need matress) and picked up second hand travel system last night! Stuck it in the bath and gave it a good wash down while waiting to go to the doctors this morning and got told off by OH for lifting it - does anyone else keep getting in trouble for doing stuff? I know he is just looking out for me and baby but to be honest I find it a bit annoying, its not that heavy! My Mum is the same.

Hope we get some more new arrivals news later :D

Ooh thanks lovecrafting, loving all these baby programmes at the mo, watched OBEM and Call the Midwife on catch up last night too!

DH doesn't let me do any real heavy lifting at the mo but I'm finding it's the everyday stuff that's frustrating, like putting a full bin out in the lane and lifting the washing up bowl full of water into the sink because we have an awkward tap!

Did a big couponing day yesterday, gonna make a list tonight of what we have and need. I still want a baby changing box but want an empty one, not a Johnsons one, has anyone bought one of these anywhere? Tried Mothercare yesterday but the lids didn't close properly!

Also, nappy bins, I like these ones that come with the cartridges for the bags but are they worth having or should I just get a wee bin with a lid?

I got mines from Mothercare Amymo and it closes fine. I got the winnie the pooh one to match my bath :) I posted a code a few pages back for £5 off when you spend £25 on bathing products at Mothercare. xx

Ah that's good to hear Gilly, might order one online then, to be honest our Mothercare was looking a bit downtrodden yesterday so I think following the sales they could do with a clear up as the bath we looked at was split too and they didn't have another in stock!

I got one of the johnsons boxes but I only paid £10 for it (actually nothing now I think about it...MIL bought it!) in a local discount store.

I'm not having a nappy bin (unless I get re-usable nappies), disposables will be taken straight outside to the wheelie bin but we live in abungalow so its a bit easier. Everyone I've spoken to has said nappy bins are big waste of money

Hmm, we live in a downstairs flat so wouldn't be going far with them! I guess it'll be warmer in spring/summer so I won't begrudge going out into the yard so much then too! It's one of these things my mam says we need to have but I keep catching myself as when we go shopping together the things she says we 'need' I disagree on, and the things I want to buy she says are a waste of money!

I love going out with her but for instance the other day she said don't buy a set with thermometer, hairbrush, nail scissors etc, you'll probably get that as a gift from someone, I was like "well has someone you know bought us one then?" but she said no, I still didn't buy it though, I am a more productive shopper when I go alone!
