Because its circumventing the problem, I suppose thats todays culture if its a problem just get rid and get a new one if people learnt how to fix things that they inadvertently broke this forum would be practically empty, and AVG and Avast are pretty well on a par with each oher and I wondered if just installung avast would of helped? I doubt it as I expect the OP may of installed Avast as well as AVG something thats all to common because of the disposable ways of people nowadays, I always feel fixing a problem makes you more aware of how something actually works and the user understands some more settings than they would of by just getting a replacement.0 -
That's basically what I was going to say! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Ok j davies.Point taken.
But if my antivirus isnt working right,i rather install a different one, than spend all night trying to get it to work.
I had nothing but trouble with Avg ,but lots of people like it and thats good for them.0 -

Hi,
I've got Zone Alarm but have configured it as per the AVG instructions. The annoying thing is that I haven't changed anything with Zone Alarm or AVG - it just started coming up with the error message.
