Just take a look at the loans section of this forums.

Hundereds of people are scamed by Yes Loans and getting a refund is not always straight forward as many people have posted.

Mamamoo sums it up nicely "guarantee these people a loan, charge a brokerage fee, and then never come up with the goods."

Expect many more cold calls and emails from other companies wanting a brokerage fee again for a loan you will never get.

NEVER pay upfront costs for a loan, particularly anyone who asks for first payments via Western Union or Ukash. If you do the WU or UK thing, you won't get your money back even as these scams are from companies based in India.
  • please forgive me if i sound stupid but as you say "never pay upfront fee's"....what i'm saying is i cancelled, they shouldnt have taken it, by law they had no right...they broke the law, is this not different.

i dont mean to be sarcy or anything but i'm so angry with them and i just want to understand

As soon as you give the card details you are agreeing to the money being taken. As with many others you have simply been lied to if they have told you the money won't be taken, they will deny you have ever had the conversation.

Just take a look at the posts in the loan section of the forums, numerous cases of people being told one thing on the phone and the opposite happening.

In short you are not dealing with a nice lovely company, you are dealing with a company who promises the earth to people, lie to people and don't deliver.

What has happened, is now in the past, you need to get your fee back and as I have said don't deal with companies who want upfront fees.

So, as per their terms and conditons and the link shaun from africa has provided:

Write to them at the address shown, don't email, don't waste further money on phoning them, write a recorded letter, stating you wish to cancel, keep it short and to the point, no threats, nasty comments etc.

They have 30 days to refund if they still haven't then you take further action by going to the financial ombusman.

If you are stuggling for a loan, your bank is the first place to start, if they refuse you are very unlikely to get a loan at all.

The loan board is the best place to ask for advice on getting a loan and if you are simply in debt, why not try the debt free wanabee sections of the website.
