This isn't just any Temper Tantrum.....

Oh my dear lordy lord, a banshee has found its self in my kids bedroom and wont stop howling.

Anyone else find this banshee after asking their kids to tidy their bedrooms?

Banshee is usually quieted by the introduction of a toy-chewing missile known as a Labradour.
  • I remember BEING that banshee - and that was 40 years ago!

Put kettle on, make tea/coffee, turn on (loud) music, drink coffee/tea, dance around a bit to music. Said banshee might not shut up but at least you wont be able to hear her!

console yourself in the fact that tomorrow said banshee will have a very sore throat and will still have to tidy the bedroom if it's not done - i know it's not exactly the done thing to take pleasure from kids misfortune, but well, as adults it's our duty to realise that when they done screw up and don't listen to us, they then have to suffer the consequence, pretty much the same way we all did as kids!

  • Ignoring is usually the best bet! Without an audience, banshees usually quiten down quite quickly. As Caroline said, go and make yourself a cuppa and wait for them to stop.

  • There's a 23 yr old banshee in resdience here. It now lives in its own squalor and I've learned never to open the door. It's perfectly lovely in all other ways, which is why it hasn't been sent packing. Yet.

  • Isn't it amazing the energy they put into it?

Yup,I get worn out just listening to them sometimes. If only they put that much effort into actually tidying their room in the first place!! :rotfl:
