Quidco mobile offers. £13/month, CB£70, Samsung Galaxy etc

There are currently deals for Vodafone and T-mobile on quidco for 24 month contract phones.

Vodafone,
£13/month, £70 back, Samsung galaxy S free, some token allowances (100mins, 300text, 100mb I think)

T-mobile

Motorola Atrix or SE Xperia Arc

£15.32/month, £80 back, free phone. (300 mins, 300 text, internet for browsing/email, one flexible booster)

So, I tried to sign up for the T-mobile one choosing the SE phone. Order went fine with a reference given... but nothing for 2 days.
Phoned, and apparently I ahve been rejected because my credit score is too low. T-mobile suggested that I can have a sim only for 6 months to build up my credit score lol.

Well, so far, I have completed a 24month Vodafone contract, 18month O2 contract and on a 24month (at month14 now) 3 mobile contract so I don't think there is anything to do with my credit score. I used the same bank account for all those including applying for the T-mob one.

Do you think they are trying to pull a fast one because the offer is really too good to be true?:D When on the phone with CS, I even offered to pay the whole contract off (£15.32 X 24) in one go but they said no...

Anybody tried that and got approved?

Are you on electoral roll, they could bump you if you fall that hurdle or it could be your past credit history.
Might have done you a favour though - the samsung Glaxaxy S is the lesser version with the S II out.

I am definitely on the electoral roll. However, I moved to my current place Nov last year. Maybe that plays a part..

Well, I did not want the SGS but at £280 for a SE Arc plus the inclusive mins (which I won't use mostly) it is still a steal. The phone itself sells for >£350. For £200++ the SGS is also a good deal.

    Oh well...

Probably the address change then - probably want 3 years worth of residence in one place.
You could try explaining that to them - maybe they could check your credentials through other documentation you supply.

Yes, I might try again. The first contract I ever took out was with Vodafone and that required me to put down a deposit which they held for 6 months and then used it against my bill after that.

I wonder why T-mobile couldn't do that. They could charge me the whole amount if they wish, then deduct my bills month by month from that, charging me extra if i use over my allowance by direct debit. Damn they need better accountants! :rotfl:
  • I have taken the Samsung Galaxy S from Vodafone for £13 p/m.
In just a few hours they sent message to me:

'[FONT=&quot]We’re just writing to update you on your recent order from us.

Your credit check went smoothly so you can expect your delivery soon. We’ll email you to let you know when it has been despatched.'

The credit score depends on many aspects. I am not expert in this matter however I am on the electoral register. I also took credit three times just to get credit history. I did not need the credits but I have been advised to build the credit history in this way. Looks like it is working.
But looking at the information needed to put in on T-mobile purchase website they ask for more info and in more details as Vodafone asked me. So I might not pass their credit check. Who knows?
Anyway I've choosen Vodafone as the coverage is better where I live than T-mobile. But this is individual choice. I need a phone which works not a useless box in my pocket.
I was comparing the Motorola Atrix versus Samsung Galaxy S.
There is a good review on YouTube by phonedog (sorry I am not allowed to put links on yet)-

Samsung Galaxy S 4G vs. Motorola Atrix 4G Dogfight

[FONT=&quot] Both phones are good. But I've decided I need a phone not a PC in my pocket. If I wanted PC I could buy a notebook which is more powerfull than Atrix and more comfortable to use.
But again this is individual choice depends what do you want from you phone.
