ive used self scan today on the barbie car, said £12.50 on the box and scanned at £25. I got DTD with absolutely no questions asked, was a really nice woman who actually knew what she was doing!!0

Thanks op, just got 2 school barbies (not being greedy, daughter's bday friday and her friends 2 weeks later). CS a little frosty but she told someone from toys she had asked for the stickers to be removed on them last week! (they had been on the cars!)0

Great find OP just got the car in my local. Where 3 on the shelf and only one had the half price sticker so I obviously picked that up. Customer Service Lady did say that they should have taken the labels off but it was their fault and would honour the price and give me DTD. My first DTD ever - free Barbie car. :j'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.' :cool:
Proud Mummy to two gorgeous miracles.:j0 -
hubby went into coventry store today and got the school barbie - cashier charged him £25 - he went to customer services and said excuse me this says half price but I have been charged full price - she said not a problem and refunded the whole amount - wow - thank you0

Got 2 school barbies today, was with my mum and told her to get one after trying to explain d td, she went to scan it as I carried on shopping. After a while I noticed barbie wasn't in her trolley, she said it's £25 I don't want it but I convinced her to go and get it, she can't seem to get this d td just yet ! Thanks very much op0

So even customer services on the phone fobbed me off
I am tempted to contact HO but recently got £140 gift card off them because I doubled up some vouchers to get a blackberry and when I went to purchase it had gone OOS and never came back in stock and vouchers were going to expire, CS were useless and said Tough Luck, all I wanted was to exchange them for store use. Anyhow, 1 quick email to HO and my voucher numbers and I got a £140 gift card to go buy one in store.
Not sure I can pester them again, even if im right!!
Maybe a quick phonecall to store and asking to speak to the manager might help??
Why dont all the staff know the correct procedure, its pants!!
My sister recommended taking one back to another store without reciept and exchanging it for something else...means I would have paid £12.50 for a £25 toy, so effectively getting my £12.50 back but it feels wrong to me, not sure I could do that...even tho I will happily go a buy it knowing I will get DTD back, strange how the mind works0 -
went back to try and get the car but no stickers on them and the barbie school i got yesterday someone had taken all the stickers off those, also scanned the dora dolls that were £25 but had a sticker on reducing to £15 but they scanned at £15
nevermind very happy with my barbie school (or my daughter is
)
