Although strangely the entire premise of this thread is that rents have in fact not changed over the last 3 years, and that in the case of myself, they haven't changed at all since 2009.:)
So your contribution appears to be entierly void of any accuracy. Sorry about that.
Although your evidence shows rents going up over the last 3 years... and although it's nice that your own rent hasn't changed since 2009, we're talking about the period from 2008. So are you saying that your own rent has increased since 2008?

Just to be clear, you claim to have won your so-called great rent debate by starting this thread with the title "Rents Essentially Unchanged Since 2008". You then proceed to show that over that period, rents (including your own) have gone up.

Sorry Rob, you appear to be confusing my deeply uninteresting record of historical rents with a time lapsed record of the rental incomes of all houses let in the entire united kingdon in a particular month divided by the number of houses let in the same month.
Which forces me to conclude that you are easily confused.

Your "counter argument" appears to hinge on the rather pleasant fact that I have had just one increase in rent in 3 years.
Which does rather suggest that your counter argument is some what irrelevant and meaningless.
It neither negates or validates the statistics in question,
and it does not undermine whats a fairly good outcome for me.
