Gosh, you mean that 0.5% base rates have resulting in people with mortgages saving a few quid. This is massive!

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN DISCUSSED BEFOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

    Such biting sarcasm. Almost devastating.

Is there any particular reason you don't like discussing the fact that people who chose to buy years ago (when you chose to wait instead) have been benefiting from massive savings in comparison to tenants?

Is that not just a teeny bit superfluous?

Well thank for clarifying that a year is made up of months Lite.
I'm sure we can all rest easy after than.

I think what we can take from this, is that rents have gone nowhere at all, including yours (which has gone up by an unspecified amount), but you'd rather not tell us about it?

Have you thought about looking at retirement flats?

Yes. A very good reason. The timing game was the boring and predictable fall back position of the ebmittered 2 years ago.
    No change now. ;)

I believe I already told you. My rent has not changed since 2009.
My rent has changed previously. So what?

What you can take from this discussion is that the blunt month to month UK averages don't actually mean all that much, and a little context and analysis is required, particularly before you choose to embark on jet another uninspired embittered little attack on your second favourite bear. :)

my rent was £1,600 2 years ago and it's still £1,600 now, so it's falling nicely in real terms.

of course then when i move out and it's put on the market for £2,000 we can all observe how sharply rents are rising.

Such an exquisite lack of self-awareness.

All of your jibber-jabber about the benefits to FTBers of delaying purchase is nothing else but the 'timing game'.

    You miss the point rob.
    The crash happened. End of.
Those who said it wouldn't were quite wrong.

The timing game is a bullish invention.
Of course the fact that my jibber-jabber effectively negated aspects of the timing game was highly amusing.

Again you fail no appreciate the crucial difference between deconstructing spurious discredited arguments, and being a bitter enough bull to make them.

BTW. Talking about an equisite lack of self awareness you appear to be unaware that having been part of the losing team on the great rent debate,
you've fallen back on "timing" in a failed attempt at scoring cheap unrelated points.
Therefore lending unneccesary added credibility to the assement of the timing game as an embittered fall back position.
    So thanks for that.

:rotfl:Oh look. What with the pondering, and the searching and the cut and pasting, you appear to have gone to a fair bit of trouble Fubra for not much payback with this one.
