Engaging in any form of communication with these idiots is most definitely the wrong thing to do.

Ignore and they will go away - eventually.

    You have committed no offence

nicegal did the camera not pick up your car leaving at 12ish then coming back at 5ish

That's what I'm wondering, as their 'photographic evidence' should obviously show us leaving and returning it would actually prove they don't have a case, so in this particular situation, rather than ignoring their letter, should we not point out that they will have our innocence on record?
No, let them prove they do have a case if they really want to push it. It would be up to them to prove on the balance of probability that you did do it rather than you prove otherwise.

Okay, thank you everyone for the advice, we will just ignore the letters and see what happens. But in future we shan't make more than one visit a day to Aldi!

One of the children's reporters at work recently got a fine from Aldi for parking her car. She took advice from one of the local sheriffs who told her to ignore it.
So little money - so much time

They of course would tell her she had not received a fine. Glad she did not pay.

At our Aldi when you have paid at the till you then have to queue again to put your numberplate number into a machine on the wall (There is only one machine)
What I would like to know is what happens when the machine breaks down? Will we all be issued with fines
They really don't want our trade that much if they are getting so heavy handed and big brother with their customers who they don't seem to value much (Bloody foreign companies:mad::mad:)
Guess what we park at Asda then get my mobility scooter out of the car then shop at Aldi followed by Asda - best of both worlds :rotfl:
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

We took the time to study the parking signs in our Aldi, the one at the entrance is almost obscured by a tree, but we were shocked to discover that there is a limit on return within 4 hours, if this recent ridiculous situation hadn't happened we would never have known.

What are Aldi thinking? They must know the parking charges cannot be enforced but by allowing Parking Eye to levy the 'fines' they are collaborating with them.

By the way, we got our second demand today, fine gone up from £40 to £70 and a pretty picture of our car arriving and departing. No pictures of the other departures and returns though!

I have received one of these 'offical' letter demanding money, after reading the advice given on this site and many many others I have ripped up the cheque that I was going to send them after a knee jerk reaction to this letter that the cheeky devils have made to look at much like a police letter as they dare. Thank you everyone that has taken the time and trouble to advise on this subject. I was parked in an Aldi car park that I used time after time and never ever found it half full never mind full. Over 20 years my husband and I must have spent thousands of pounds in Aldi, food, wine, beer, computer equipment, electrical goods, need I go on but I will NEVER visit this shop again and am seriously considering taking our custom away from this chain of shops.
