  • What a laugh we had in Boots today. Decided to take hubby and make most of visit. After much presuading I got him in the queue trying out the 6 for 1 offer. Told him on no account was he to let her know we were together. He gets served first and I get called to the till next to him just afterwards. He has his 6 for 1 products as do I. No probs with eiether transaction. However his SA told him off because he did not have an advantage card. She then asked him if all the hair products were for him or was he buying them for his wife. He told her they were for him. HE IS AS BALD AS A COOT. As he walks away she turns to my SA and says "its probably for his hairpiece, or hes a transvestite." I dont know how I kept a straight face.He also got 2 no7 vouchers as she felt sorry for him. I bet thats made her day.

just goes to prove some men will (boldy go) where others fear to tread especially when there are scarry assistants to contend with :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Just back

    Got the 6 for 1 :-)

    2x sun spray factor 8
    2x lotion factor 15
    2x aftersun

Came to 6.50 after using my voucher :-)

    Wooohooo

i was wondering if mine had gone wrong, it was £7 after voucher for

    2 hair sprits
    2 lip shimes
    sunspary 15
    tan maintainer

(though in fact i had a sun lotion 25 rather than 2 hair spritz. so perhaps i did better than i though)

i dislike the way the till says £18 and then when press total it says £7, its annoying - same with the 75% of gifts, it doesn't tell you what the price is as you ring them through.

Just back from my Boots fix of the day. Found my first body bar. I tried the suntan stuff - but only 3 at a time to see if it still worked. Perfect. Went back and got another 3 items (i know I should have got 6 in the first place but I wimped out). Had a lovely time but I'm already planning what to get next and where to go. I should be thinking where am I going to put it!!!! Nice SA said to me I had a good eye for a bargain. I smiled sweetly and never mentioned MSE.

The SA tried to be helpful as she was putting the suncare through and said, I'll split this into 2 for you so you get more vouchers, but I (very calmly!) told her no thanks, I've worked out in my head what is the best combination and she just did as I said. I think my addiction has well and truly started now!

I had an SA that tried to do that once trying to be helpful - don't they know we know what we are doing!!!!

I got the cheaper stuff - four at £5.50, two at £7.50. The BOGOF came off then the 342 came off leaving £7.50. Take off the £5 no 7 voucher and I paid £2.50. If all 6 were £5.50 it would have been just 50p.

Also got a Scoobie and a Shaun Sheep hot water bottle cover for £3.74 each - Winnie was still £15 so got left behind.
